Yeah, but I feel like every time someone mentions it, I’m compelled to point out the differences.
In TX, the Dems fled to prevent a quorum on gerrymandering legislation directly meant as an attack on democracy and voting rights/voting power/the very representational nature of our democracy. Their own anti-democratic behavior was the only option left to actually defend democracy.
In Oregon, these idiots are purely trying to avoid democracy taking place, because the legislation is simply legitimate regulation of commerce, and they desperately want to pretend elections aren’t supposed to have consequences when it’s they that lost.

These nutjobs have been massing in the Northwest for years now. Go back to Ruby Ridge and be afraid. They do own weapons and they are not afraid to use them. We are rapidly approaching a second Civil War in this country because the first one worked out so well. (Actually most of these people will simply carry placards and yell at the police, but it could quickly become a real gun battle.)

@sniffit HAHA, That guy had to add some links to his nunchucks in order to reach around his, umm, ample girth. I would guess letting him flail away like that for a few seconds would find him too winded and unbalanced to be much of a threat to anyone but himself.
