Break out the vanilla coffee creamer and the dildos, it’s Militia Time.

militias

This legitimises these people in way they don’t deserve, and is inaccurate.

We see it as the same right to protest as the protesters in the wash at the Bundy Ranch had

Who could possibly have foreseen this?

Gangs? Terrorists? Idiots? Clan members?

All of them, Katie.

High potential for not turning out well.
I wonder if this situation crossed the minds of these Senators before going on the run. Were they digging this idea of the “militia-not really militia” groups joining in the drama or are they now deer in the headlights for what they will not be able to control?

“I can confirm the Senators are not with any militias and are not accepting their help.””

LOL. Suuuure, their name being absent from official membership rolls is “proof” of that, right? What a fucking joke. Boquist’s violent comments…not to mention that he looks like he’s right out of central casting for these idiots…shouldn’t be taken as evidence otherwise. Moreover, his dare totally wasn’t meant to trigger these pseudo-militia weekend daycamp warriors and none of the GOPers pander to them at all either, I’m sure. It’s not like Oregon is famous for having these imbeciles running around armed in the woods playing let’s-pretend revolutionary, and it’s a tightly kept little-known secret that they consider the northwest US to be the prime territory for a breakaway white ethnostate. Clearly, this is all totally innocent and coincidental, totally not coordinated and in no way a matter of angry white Christian nationalism being sick and tired of democracy.

I don’t like it, but minority Democrats have done this at times so I can’t really condemn the method.

It may be time for State Constitutions to provide definitions of “abandonment of office” with replacement appointment rules for Governors. Although, to be honest, the abuse of THAT could be even worse.

The “tyranny of the majority” is, of course, in the eye of the beholder, so there doesn’t seem to be a good solution.

This tactic worked out pretty well for the “Texas Killer Bees”. Though they weren’t aligned with a militia group.

The state police miss.

LOL, well that settles that.

Always funny to me how “anti-government” militias are always fully aligned with Republican elected officials who run, and work for “the government”. One may make the logical leap to assume that those same elected officials are also anti government. But then why would they be working so hard to get elected and work in government. Such a paradox. Just like the tea-partiers who were all about lowering the debt/deficit when it came to the ACA (and at a time when we needed govt spending to boost the economy during the recession) but now are nowhere to be found as our debt/deficit is ballooning under the weight of tax breaks for the 1% and corporations.

Could it be that these groups are funded and organized by republican activists organizations and just posing as grassroots??? Hmmm

Looking for a refuge, gun and coal nutz? Have you considered Malheur? That turned out well.

So they are protecting slackers who are not showing up for work? White people welfare?

Idiots with guns.

My guess is they’re either at City of Rocks National Reserve near Malta, Idaho or a nearby FLDS compound.

Before Trump loses the 2020 election these militiamen must either step aside or be gunned down or these idiots will surround the White House.

Were the police called to bring them back? Did one of the dems then threaten the police? As usual, the republicans feel they have to take it to that next step, which for them is violence. I posted this earlier. It was included in an article at WaPo.

Sen. Brian Boquist, one of Baertschiger’s colleagues, sent a warning to any search party that might come looking for him.

“Send bachelors and come heavily armed,” Boquist said he told the superintendent of the state police. “I’m not going to be a political prisoner in the state of Oregon. It’s just that simple.”

Really?
