Discussion: Mike Pence Vows To Make Trump Events Open Even To ‘Unfair’ Press

I would love to see Clinton ban Fox News from the WH newsroom. Or, at the very least, put the big baby’s to the corner and never let them ask a question.

So he’s okay with the First Amendment.

Nice to know.

Let Pence be Pence and let Trump be Trump. They can and should deal with the press independently. No need to coordinate messages when you have such hand in glove synchrony between master and puppet.

Pence, you are “sadly” mistaking if you think you can control the uncontrollable Trump!

So…he’s boasting about letting the media do its job? This is what passes for news in the republican party? to quote Chris Rock “Whatchya want a cookie?”

It’s like Trump bragging about putting in handicap access.

Does Putin approve?

I think it’s kinda cute the way he thinks he has any input into the campaign.

Quick

Can a reporter ask Trump again if Pence was his only choice?

I’ll wait

“I have a long history, as you well know, Hugh, of advocating and defending for a free and independent press."

Well, except for this headline from last year:

“Gov. Mike Pence’s State-Run News Outlet Will Compete With Media.”

This is how Pence let’s the press do its job:

This now qualifies as a creditable achievement.

The GOP nominee has also said he would “open up”
libel laws as president to make it easier to sue
   journalists for defamation.

Of course … need to fund a campaign somehow —

Gosh he’s a peach of a guy. He’s gonna make it EASIER to sue journalists who are ‘unfair’ in his eyes but BY GOD and the Constitution he’s gonna let them in. Uh huh.

“It’s not as if he was a legislator who did more than take strong positions against these things,” said Norm Ornstein, a congressional scholar at the American Enterprise Institute. >“This was a guy who saw his role much more as being a super-magnet trying to pull his party and policy away from the center and toward the right.”

I have never seen a more Soviet looking American than Mike Pence.

Will Pravda be there?

I rather think he looks like Alistair Cooke’s evil brother. “Upstairs, Downstairs” in a certain sense.

Wasn’t it Pence who tried to create an Indiana state press, before it all blew up in his face? What a turd.
