That question about the “coming economic collapse” would have been even more hilarious and snarkworthy if, the first time I clicked on it, there weren’t a sponsored link below this TPM article hawking some sort of drivel about a Wall Street “panic” and “Bloody Wednesday” or whatever sort of despicable panic-strewing is involved. I do wish responsible news sites didn’t have this stuff but they all do, as far as I can tell. Sad.

If Clinton can be impeached for a consensual affair with a woman over age 21 (an adult), then Huckleberry hound should be given a life sentence for being a pedophile, surrounding himself with fellow pedophiles, and for defending pedophiles.
Huckleberry hound is totally warped individual - the US Religiou right is as extreme as any in the middle east and our nation’s has more to fear from the likes of this wing nut than any foreign threat. He is a complete crazy man and worse of all - he preaches it to others (mostly people in cults or living in double wides).
Ron Paul is also among those who are pushing financial panic.

Mike Huckabee, I have a question for you. Why does your perspective always seem to come from anger and judgment? It just seems a very unChrist like way to view things and a reflexive policy of always promoting war just seems wrong (and unChristian again). How come?

You mean there’s One Weird Trick to get rid of them? But seriously folks, ad money has paid my salary most of my life in some form or other. I just object to the really funky, pernicious ones these people are obviously taking seriously. And I understand websites can’t always police everything or afford to be discriminating. Just don’t like it is all.

I agree with you. I’m not against advertisements, per se. What I don’t like is the truly idiot ones like you mention, the “economic apocalypse” ones, the “Is Obama Really the An American?” kind, etc. – or the ones that grab so much of your computer’s video-playing power that your screen either freezes up or drags like it’s in molasses … and they do that deliberately. I will not go to USA Today’s website or even NBC News – those are some of the worst. Even HuffPo is really bad. I like a wide diversity of resources for my information but many of them have totally turned into either “The National Enquirer” or are nothing more than a local free trading paper with a thousand ads.

Huckabee sets himself up to be the leader of the paranoid god squad.
It never seems to fit together, the idea that God is watching over them and keeping them safe while they are fearing every foolish, made up conspiracy, dooms day scenario and anti-religious rhetoric. Their God fails them, so they pray harder to the very same God. God may not be the problem, its conservative God that is failing them.
If conservative God were all that, then why sharia, why Obamacare, why all the fear?
Conservative God aides and abets the conspiracies so that Hucksters like Huckabee can lead them to the promised land, Faux Heaven.
