Discussion: Michael Schiavo Furious That Jeb PAC Used Wife As Proof Of Pro-Life Stance (VIDEO)

Discussion for article #245230

I am surprised he’ surprised. Jeb was front and center of exploiting his wife when the debate over pulling the plug was front and center - and which is where Jeb was.

Yes, you are now officially disgusting Jeb Bush. You are a real piece of trash for doing this ad.

Funny that Jeb’s agonizing fight to keep Terri Schiavo alive is now helping to kill Jeb.

Was Mr Schiavo, or Terri’s family, ever consulted about using her image in the ad?

If I’d won that 1.5 billion dollar lottery Michael Schiavo and I would be making our own ad.

Fuck the Bushes.

Her husband fought against Bush. Her parents fought alongside him. If her family had been on the same page, none of this would have happened.

Terri’s family may well have consented. They were the ones fighting her husband’s efforts to remove her feeding tube, insisting that what the EEG, CT, MRI and, eventually her autopsy, showed were true were not true.

It sickens me that I know this. It disgusts me that I know so much about the details of what should have been this family’s very private agony and conflict because Jeb and George W. Bush turned it into a national political issue.

No where in the article did Mr. Schiavo claim he was surprised with what he saw. Just that he was disgusted, as he has every right to feel and express. It is disgusting!! Which only repulses me even more, just like I assume it does for most thinking, feeling human beings who have ever lost a love one and had a difficult decision to make.

Jeb! is one ugly, sick motherfucker…and a half-wit at that. This shows how desperate he is…

Shame on them if they consented…
They should be charged with adult-child abuse.

The impression I got was the video was obtained from a group that took it back then. They would have owned the rights to it. I believe her family (not her husband) permitted it at the time. I’m not sure they’d feel any differently today.

She’s beyond caring. And, honestly, she was the whole time. She was dead. They just couldn’t accept it. They weren’t bad people. They were just wrong. If they’d been right, everything they did would have been right. But irrational hope can be a cruel thing to those who feel it and those who don’t alike.

He “signed legislation that allowed him to prevent her feeding tube from being removed.” Ha! Love it! So much for that “less government” crap huh, Jeb?!

This was the whole thing that killed Bill Frist’s political career too. I remember and frankly, was glad. I can’t believe how he violated his canon as a physician while diagnosing her as responsive through a video.

I know…intellectually.
But I’m sorry that Terri had to be used so public-ly by Jebba and , back then, by her family.

Jeb was way out of line, but her family was suffering. They just couldn’t accept it and I don’t blame them for it. The politicians were bastards. Had they stayed out of it, the courts would have solved this problem and the family would have gotten on with their grieving.
