Discussion: Michael Cohen’s Sentencing Memo Is Packed With Tantalizing Details

Trump’s displeasure at being so central to the sentencing memo was evident on Monday morning, when he tweeted that Cohen’s crimes were “unrelated to Trump.”
How odd Donnie usually loves being in the center of things, in fact he thinks the universe revolves around him.

I am starting to get the feeling that Cohen is doing more than covering his ass…

He want’s a pound of Trump’s flesh for the dotard throwing him under the bus…

I also have a theory that the Trump Tower meeting was a plot by Putin to get more compromat on the Dotard and his family…

Based on everything we have seen, the meeting does not appear to have been necessary given the other lines of collusion that are emerging…

Make no mistake; Cohen is a sleazy, dishonest person. But the trump family is the big fish here, and if Cohen gets off “Scot-free” it would serve to let others in the know what they can get if they come clean.

To me, it’s a worthwhile trade-off!

The next few weeks will bring more key developments in the various Cohen investigations. Prosecutors will file their own sentencing memo presumably outlining Cohen’s cooperation, which may contain new revelations.

The fun just never ends. And from how many other directions can we reasonably expect more revelations? Must be a dozen at least.

"the necessity, at age 52, to begin his life virtually anew, including developing new means to support his family, convinced Michael to seek an early sentence date.”

I have a hard time not reading this is “Michael wants to get into witness protection ASAP.”

I don’t know. Cohen acted like a consigliere of a mob family for Trump, even past the Inauguration. If he’d come clean much earlier, it could be argued we wouldn’t have a criminal as President. In fact, the only reason he eventually came clean is that Trump jilted him and his request for a Pardon and the Feds got a warrant against him. So while I very much appreciate his cooperation with the various investigations, I think he’s done too much not to do some time. And, sorry, blaming Trump does not excuse his behavior. It can be a slap on the wrist, but imo he needs some jail time.

“He makes up stories to get a GREAT & ALREADY reduced deal for himself, and get his wife and father-in-law (who has the money?) off Scott Free,”

Oh-ho! Donnie has gone and done it again, spilling the beans on a priorly unknown coconspirator in the Russia investigation. We now have to ask: who the hell is Scott Free?

And why are Cohen’s wife and father-in-law (I don’t know who has the money, do you Donald?) getting him off?

And what a lewd thing to say.

Lede buried in para 3:

“In each case, the conduct was intended to benefit Client-1, in accordance with Client-1’s directive,” the attorneys wrote.

Well, knowing how that crowd he pissed off operates that is a smart decision.

They note he’s likely to lose his law license, has to pay restitution,“will be named in a parallel tax case brought by New York State,” lost all business at his consulting firm, had bank and insurance agreements canceled, and faced intense media scrutiny, hate mail, and threats.

If you can’t do the time, don’t do the crime. Alternatively: you can’t put the toothpaste back in the tube.

I don’t trust him; when Mueller is done with him then he can be sentenced, not before. I am sure he wants to get on with his life, but he did that all ready and we are paying for it.

I can hardly wait for the trickle down justice.
