Discussion: Mexico Offers Tougher Enforcement To Avoid Trump’s Tariff Threats

No Mexico Don’t do
Please don’t do it
It will reward bad behavior .
We don’t do that with impetuous children or dictators
Next stop : Pay for my wall or I’ll Impose a tariff .
Do you really want to go there?

Apparently, Mexico doesn’t know how to parent a petulant child having a temper tantrum. They shouldn’t be surprised when the man-baby starts to scream for more candy as he’s stuck in the checkout lane with Mexico pushing his cart.

Thank you, Mexico, for demonstrating that trade wars are easy to win!

Expect more!

Mexico should never respond to threats from Toadglans (or anyone else, for that matter.) If they do, the next questions are “Do they seriously think he will honor any agreement?” and “What will he demand next?” Moreover, Mexico has him over a barrel, not the other way around.

If they give him an inch ….

Worst of all, however, is that the Turmeric Tyrant is essentially trying to strong-arm Mexico into adopting his cruel, inhumane policies towards people fleeing poverty and violence. Despicable.

Geez, Mexico, where’s the spirit of Benito Juarez and Emiliano Zapata? Give in to the His Orange Corpulency and he’ll just come back demanding more concessions.

Even more disgusting is that this may be a win-win for shithead.

First, he gets a ‘win’ in an ‘easy trade war’.

Second, refugee issues end up getting stopped up in Mexico rather than in the USA.

I hate to break it to you but that offer was only good if Hillary was elected.

Damn it, damn it, damn it, damn it, damn it to hell!

And now this becomes Mexico’s problem. Does the President of Mex. really want a situation where his country’s troops are in confrontation with refugees?? The regime has already made it clear that the US will not provide any foreign aid which would assist in stemming the flow of refugees from Central America. So if the regime has grudgingly told Mexico they would reimburse that country for turning refugees away, they’ve been bullsh*tted.

Mexico can’t ignore the US. 35% of their GDP are exports, of which 80% are to the US. There is no way they could come with market alternatives in the next few months. And they rightly don’t trust GOP congresscritters to block Trump.

Up to the late 80s Mexico’s policy was to keep as much distance from the US as they could. The attitude changed in the 90s and NAFTA has been for the most part positive. But now, the naysayers of back then are being proved right, the US is really a greedy, self-interested bully that makes for a bad partner.

Mexico has no choice but to drop their pants and bend over. But they would do well start looking for alternatives immediately, there are more shaftings on their way: Trump isn’t done with them, and has found something that works, he will demand they pay for his wall next.

They understand it, the power disparity is too wide, there is nothing they can do in the short term.

Concessions are like confections for this man-child.

Not sure why people think Mexico should be making the strong stand and fighting our battles for us.

Trump is our problem, they’re going to do what they have to to manage things until he’s gone.

6000/(541 miles / 3 shifts)= 33.2717190388 miles per guard. That’ll do it!

Ah, but they do. They really, really do. That’s why Mexico needs to employ the age-old “negotiating tool” of their madres and abuelitas, the dreaded la chancla.

Glossary:
Madre: Mother
Abuelita = Grandmother
Chancla = Sandal

Who knows,? Maybe they are planning to use the soldiers to transport the refugees to the US border so they don’t have to walk.

Naw. We’re also sending a group of DHS folks to their southern border, presume our folks will work alongside them.
