Well, Mr. Representative, you’re a- flaggin’ in your vigilance. He’s actin’ like a pointy-headed Liberal! He’s nuthin’ but a traitor, you should be a-fixin to teach that boy a lesson!
Sic 'em!
NOW!!!
Or GET OUT OF THE WAY!!!
Meadows and every other Republican is pissing the bed right now. He’s hoping against hope it’s a “one-off,” and maybe it is. Who knows wih Trump?
But in the meantime, Schumer is talking about speaking with the president “just this morning,” and acting like things are really cozy. Pelosi is milking her rendition of her chat re DACA for all its worth too.
It’s delicious.
(Another broken comment link, had to enter thru The Hive)
Meadows sure seemed ‘freaked’ to me…
No, no, NO! We want Ryan to stay!
This way, history will record that both he as Speaker and McTurtle as the Senate’s leader can claim forever the dual sobriquet’s of “Worst Speaker Ever” and “Worst Senate Majority Leader.”
And this they will earn since both have near zero accomplishments, not only under our last sane President Obama’s time, but also far under the orange-haired Trumpenfueher.
(Sigh)
OK, I’ll call Ryan and tell him he can stay.
A guy can’t have any fun around here.
Meanwhile,
An interesting tidbit to add to this discussion.
They (“Nancy and Chuck”) are playing him like a fiddle.
Drive the GOP in congress crazy - while getting more positive media coverage with /for Don that his Comm office can put into his daily briefing of his positive media coverage. He is so dense (nothing penetrates beyond his ego) that he doesn’t get that they more they brag… the more the GOP will recoil making relations even worse.
Are you as heartbroken as I am?
Sharing a shortcut @outsidertrading618 passed on this morning for when those links are broken.
- He got to thumb his nose at Ryan and McConnell.
- He got good press coverage after working with “Chuck and Nancy”.
- His cult blamed everything on Ryan.
Sorry, bucko. This is the price you pay for electing an idiotic narcissist.
Nice to see some fresh new talent get a chance !
OMG. Just surreal. Maybe they could be co-Speakers. The party will be proposing to build moon bases and outlaw contraception and God knows what all.
Newt and Santorum discussed for Speaker? They have over 200 members in the House - and the insurgents consider old, stale, Swampy has-beens? Oh there is trouble in GOPHouse land.
That’s the underlying problem with replacing Ryan. They have no one. Its the same problem that got them Ryan in the first place when they booted Boehner. Its the same leadership in place…McCarthy as #2 and Scalise as #3, neither of which has a snowball’s chance in hell of being elected Speaker.
This also, much to their chagrin, exposes just how much of a minority the HFC really is. They don’t have the numbers to support any one of their candidates, nor even enough to start bending arms with moderates to get them over the hump. Plus, none of them really wants the job, they know how the HFC will continue to treat any Speaker, and nobody wants that pain.
Recall that Ryan had to be strong-armed into leading that pack of stray cats. On top of that, all the sane ones (Ros-Lehtinen, Reichert, Dent) are rushing for the lifeboats.
I hate this meme, but this version is quite droll.

Papa would never hurt us again, would he?
Frothy has-beens?
FIFY
Santorum and Newts: two things you REALLY don’t want in your House.
