Discussion: McDaniel's Campaign Manager Vowed Never To Support 'Race Baiting' Cochran

Discussion for article #224739

What’s white and covered with a sheet?

I bet you were thinking “A McDaniel supporter”. But you’re wrong.

It’s a projection screen.

(and a McDaniel supporter)

‘…made vicious attacks against one of Mississippi’s most decorated Republican champions.’

Still wondering about the ‘most decorated’ part.
Would that be a matching set of embroidered white hood and sheets?
With dust ruffle?

Since this woman voted in the Republican primary without any intention of voting for the winner, her vote should be invalidated. This is true under Mississippi law for all the tea bags saying they won’t vote Cochran.

Do we have to wait for them to try to secede again? I mean really…can we just boot MS and a few of the others? It’s not like they add anything to the country other than a black-eye.

His hood has gold braid, epaulets, and a chestful of medals from Sons of the Confederacy, the Aryan Brotherhood, and StormFront.com.

I’ve always wondered why they willingly live in fear of God. Has to be a pretty miserable life.

Glad to hear it, Ms. Sojourner. Also tell all your friends not to vote for Cochran! “Start spreadin’ the news!”

Same here.

The God I know? Pretty cool actually.
Neither of us has any use for religion or churches.
Only time we talk is generally when I need will, patience, or help for others.
Oh-- and a great sense of humor.

I’d hafta’ guess the problem is most envision God in their own image.
Which is why ÂŽ God comes off to most as a real tight^ss.

Where I’m from, in rural Mississippi, I grew up knowing lots a God-fearing, hard-working, independent conservative minded African-American family’s

Yes, we know. Black folks are only God-fearing, hard working, and independent if they’re conservative minded.

They did not reach out to African-American Democrats based on sharing a vision of conservative principles.

We only want Black voters that agree with us.

used race baiting tactics to take advantage of African-American voters

Uh-huh, because Blacks are so stupid and so easily misled that they were tricked into voting for a candidate that would be less damaging to their interests.

What’s madening about this whole recurring story line here at TPM is that folks here are casting cochran, (R-MS) and all that impies, as some kind of bastion of progressive thinking.

WTF people? This guy is somewhere to the right of Ghengis Khan. Let’s try not to forget that, shall we?

We can only hope that more do like Sojourner in this Senate race. It would be wonderful if McDaniel supporters just didn’t vote this fall, or, better yet, McDaniel does try for a write in campaign. However, you can’t count on a Tea Party loyalist for anything.

I’m sure that Sen. Childers would thank the teabaggers for their not voting.

Naw, we know what Cochran is. Just enjoying all the internecine warfare, that’s all.

Defining “race-baiting” as “appealing to black voters” actually meets the conservative definition of race-baiting quite neatly. The degree, or how valid the appeal is doesn’t really matter.

Nah it’s perfectly understood who and what Cochran is. The black voters in Mississippi certainly know.
