McConnell: I have promised Rubio that if we win the senate majority, we will not consider any of the President Hillary’s SCOTUS nominees for 4 years.
Meanwhile, we Floridians urge him to move along into some other job that he might find more interesting and challenging. We prefer to elect someone who will actually show up and do the job. And with any luck, we will not only retain the presidency this year with the election of Clinton, but we will take back the ineffective Senate from the Republicans and show Rubio and McConnell the door.
I guess six more years of “Kick the Baby” might be fun.
Turtle On Rubio: “He would not only save a terrific senator for the Senate, but help save the majority.”
I love the smell of flopsweat in the morning.
It smells like…victory.
I hope he runs too. One great way to pick a Dem seat in the senate.
“He would not only save a terrific senator for the Senate, but help save the majority,” he continued.
I gather when your teeth are on fire any ol' urine will do.
LOLZ
McConnel on Rubio: “Marco, please don’t go, we need you here and really you are not as stupid as Trump made you look, ignore him”.
Rubio failed to get a reply from Chippendale’s for his job application…
Give it up Turtleman. With Trump leading your ticket you know and I know you are heading to be the minority leader in the Senate. It;s pretty much a guarantee. Why would Rubio sign up to be in the minority.
Exactly, I take this as a strong indicator that they are desperate to hold onto any seat they can because they expect to take major losses. Running in this cycle is probably political suicide, especially for a Latino Republican, and if he were to run and lose his career would be over.
Marco Rubio has publicly stated that he hates being a Senator and that he finds his job to be “boring.” No member of the Senate missed more votes last year than Marco Rubio.
It says a lot about McConnell and Republicans in general that they believe that a man who has represented his constituents so poorly ought to run for reelection.
“Rubio has left the door open to a future run for elected office, but said in a Sunday CNN interview that he had no plans to run for his Senate seat again because his friend Lt. Gov. Carlos Lopez-Cantera had joined the race.”
Bowing out simply because a friend applies for your job?!? This buddy must have humongous hands.
Well, Little Marco has been getting really good at 180’s.
McConnell: We could really use another AWOL total loser like Marco Rubio in the GOP caucus!
Why? I mean, surely a large number in the caucus are conscientious and hard-working, even if I don’t agree with their policy solutions. One would think they might be offended by such a no-account layabout like Rubio?
I don’t know what Mitchy McConnell is thinking. He is reinforcing the narrative that he is a crooked, sleazy but pathetic figure.
Marco Rubio should be seeking medical help for that robot-ranting incident. The dick and urination jokes were awful. Florida voters have serious concerns about his temperament to even be undersecretary to dog catcher.
It is no surprise that Rubio lost his home state by double digits to Donald Tramp of all people. Politically, Rubio is toast. He’d make a good lobbyist.
recruit Jeb
It kind of seems like he’s as fed up with the Senate, and with McConnell, as anyone with half a brain would be. Plus #1 - he’d have to win, which isn’t a given considering what he’s said about the job before. And #2, he’d likely be McConnell’s b***h (not that he wasn’t before).
He wants MONEY right now. And he can make oodles of it outside of Congress in many ways (which the rest of us would consider… unsavory and unpleasant).
He only left the door open for a “later run” so he can shoot for Governor of Florida if he sees an opening.
The only reason the Rubot would run for another term would be so he wouldn’t have to find a real job that he had to show up for and actually work.
