Because Lil’ Marco…it doesn’t matter what you PROMISE, it’s your allegiance to the PARTY…

Mitchy McConnell should call the sleazy Bushes. I am sure they can rig the Florida election for Marco Rubio and would be more than happy to do so. Piece of cake.

It does, but I think it says even more about what McConnell and Republicans think of their chances in the general election if they don’t have Rubio on the ticket in FL. I’m seriously a bit embarrassed (for a number of reasons) for McConnell. He’s the Majority Leader of the Senate and he’s been reduced to publicly begging his caucus to stay.

You’re welcome. Sit down, folks. No need to stand and cheer, I know you love this song. Wait, are those rotten eggs and pitchforks?

Its a strong indicator that their internal polling is showing that everybody in their primary is pathetically weak, especially in a Presidential year with strong voter turn out.

But there are a few problems for Rubio running…A) he needs money, B) he really can’t afford to run and lose and C) he REALLY can’t afford to run in the republican primary and lose to Lopez-Cantara.

So they have to clean the stage for him first, which will be a very difficult task at this point in time, though not impossible. Lopez-Cantara would probably be one of the hardest to go away, however.

Then they have to promise Rubio money. LOTS of money…he has presidential debt to contend with, plus the FL Senate race will be very very expensive this year, and Rubio has not been fund raising for a Senate race at all this cycle, so he has an empty warchest. The problem here is, they have about 9 other Senate races that are desperately going to need money. That’s a tough call, especially when Grassley is the other line wanting to know where HIS check is.

Majority Leader of the United States Senate, groveling to a resigning Senator who has had it with USA politics because the leading contender for the presidency on the Republican line is abominable to him. This election season is turning into a Marx Brothers comedy - and the whole world is watching…

They should run Capt. Spaulding for the Senate seat in question.

This is the big one. His political career is over if he were to lose, and I have no doubt he’d lose this year. A Latino schilling for Trump is going to face tremendous backlash from the Hispanic community and there’s simply no escaping Trump. Plus, he’s already made the mistake of kowtowing to Trump, so he wouldn’t be able to run away from him. No, he really has no choice but to stay far, far away.

Excellent point, especially when you consider that Florida has some very expensive media markets. It costs a lot more to advertise in Miami than it does in Milwaukee and Columbus, OH where they’re also going to be defending seats.

I’m hoping Senator McConnell will give Senator Rubio a big, wet kiss live on CNN. We may both be disappointed.

Sen Rubiot didn’t even win his home state when running for the GOP primary. Yet he can retain his seat? I don’t know…

But I suppose stranger things have happened in Florida.

I am certain Rubiot has looked into every possible way he can re-run, despite his claims of hating the Senate and that he would be a private citizen and not run again for office. He’s also so spineless that he kissed Trump’s ass, even though Trump effectively made him look like a weak loser. This guy is such a clown. He has no resolve - I am so glad he got no where running for the presidency. What I don’t get is why the media saw him as some big Messianic prize when he’s clearly a two-bit dud.

His title may be Majority Leader but he’s not much of one which accounts for the begging. We already know under his so-called leadership the Senate has done nothing of any substance and has the worst record in 60 years. It kills me when I hear people say we need legislation to correct this, that or the other issue, but I’m glad to know people can dream.

Little Rubio has no chance of winning re-election, he has been damage too much by Donald Trump and for his record of missing 75% of the votes since he was elected as a US Senator. Marco Rubio only ran for the US Senate was for him to run for President were he lost badly, he couldn’t even carry his own state.

If he keeps going like this he’s really going to come out of his shell for little Rubio.

Turtle love, it’s so endearing!

not enough energy…

Rubio is a severely damaged candidate now that he kissed Trump’s rump and made a damned fool of himself bringing up the size of Trump’s penis in the first place. Go ahead and encourage him to run, Mitch. You would be pointing out exactly what is wrong with all Republican candidates.
