Hey, biggest inaugural crowd ever. We inherited a real mess and my Administration is running like a Finely Tuned Machine. A hurricane response for Puerto Rico that is a 10/10. I was really nice to that Gold Star woman whose husband’s name “I spoke of.”
Like he hasn’t taken credit for things he couldn’t possibly have done?

My favorite, the headline:
Donald Trump takes credit for inventing the word ‘fake’
McConnell has been willing to pass how many dozens of ACA-related bills knowing that the president wouldn’t sign them, but somehow on this one, where he could have a veto-proof majority in the senate simply by nodding at a few underlings, he doesn’t dare move forward. Uh-huh.
What’s he’s really doing is his best effort at shifting blame.
I hope you’re right. Trump said he and McConnell were best friends. Why doesn’t McConnell know what kind of bill Trump will sign? Chances are Trump will sign anything that’s put on his desk to give himself a “win”.
Why would Dump care what the bill said? He won’t read it or understand it if it’s explained to him and it won’t affect him or Ivanka, so what difference could it possibly make? It’ll be a “win.”
Mitch, he wants to destroy it, for the same reasons you wanted to make Obama a one-term president. Trump doesn’t want a fixed bill. He wants to knock the ACA down, stomp on it, piss on it and light it on fire. He wants the ACA dead, dead dead,
“Well, I think he’s getting a lot more done than he’s giving everybody credit for.”
Come on, he’s sabotaged health insurance, wrecked the Iran deal, brought to the edge of nuclear war with North Korea. He should make any Trumpopath proud!
Everyone who reads this knows that it’s complete bullshit that McConnell is waiting on anything from the WH, right?
McConnell knows perfectly well that Trump has no plan or vision and just bloviates. He knows that Trump will sign anything that Congress puts in front of him.
This is just McConnell deflecting while he watches with great joy as millions of Americans lose their health insurance.
I’m still trying to figure out that expression on McConnell’s face at the head of the article. To say that it is simply a shit-eating grin lacks nuance. It’s a look of fear, of loathing, of “where’s my shotgun”, but there’s also a bit of “it’s just so fucking cool to be riding this Ferris wheel”.
