I thought party leaders were supposed to deal with their dissent members in private instead of going on TV to call him/her out. Is this “rethugs in disarray”? Is McCarthy losing control of his members? Why has the media never asked those questions? The media is biased against Dems, whether consciously or not.

Actually, seems like a good chunk of his constituancy doesn’t support him. I am one who does support him in this, but I have always voted whomever runs against him. He is a Libertarian who runs as an R. Most of his thinking runs along the lines of, “I got mine so fu.”
McCarthy is spouting nonsense. If all Amash was doing was seeking attention he could have opined much earlier without reading the report.
I am in profound disagreement with many of Amash’s views but I have to salute his political courage on this one.
I think it’s because Republicans aggressively enforce thoughts outside of their bubble.
Secondly, they don’t have a good argument to marshal against Amash. And if they ever read the Report, they’d really come to realize that.
