Discussion: McCarthy On Why King Is Only Now Being Punished: ‘Have I Been Leader For Years?’

Because history just started in January of this year in Kevin’s mind. Like the Busheviks who forgot any of the horrible things Bush did in office and the way the trumpanzees will disavow any knowledge of trump’s actions when he is gone. Has he been leader for years? No but he has known about Steve KKKing’s remarks for years and said not a word.

Enjoy your time under the bus Ryan. Couldn’t have happened to a more deserving fella.

“Have I Been Leader For Years?”

Always the first to take responsibility for moral leadership!

Corrupt, hypocritical failures of human and moral decency.

“Have I been leader for years?”

What a stupid response. Because in reality the answer is “Yes, in fact you had been majority leader for 4.5 years” not to mention part of leadership for longer.

He’s implying he’s been the voice of reason for a while but Ryan wanted to keep King around.

I’m all for Ryan taking enough political hits we don’t ever have to see him again, but this is laughable.

Price if admission in today’s Republican party.

I dunno. He was the one that made the comment about Russia paying Trump and Rohbacher, and it was Ryan that shushed him. Who knows what the power dynamic was in that group.

If you want to say he was cowardly and complicit because he didn’t say what he knew and thought was wrong to the public, I can agree with that. It takes courage to swim against the current, and frankly, most of these guys have very little of that.

Now that he’s in charge, maybe there are some things he’s wanted to do all along that he could not before. These guys have been damned disgusting, but I hate to jump down someone’s throat right at the moment they actually do something decent for once.

Way to throw Ryan under the bus.

You have to love the GOP way, take no personal responsibility for anything, always blame someone else.

And thus he rang the bell signalling the death knell of the Reagan Rule (aka Reagan’s 11th Commandment.)

At least speaking ill by implication.

It’s about time.

Remember Truman’s famous saying: The Buck Stops with Roosevelt.

So…you’ve been in LEADERSHIP for DECADES Kev…you can’t address RACISM until your the Leader? Wow…profiles in courage there boyo…

It would almost be comical if the MSM didn’t let them get away with it every time.

Gee, Kevin. I guess the reason you didn’t stand up against racism by King and many other GOP members is because your head was so far up Paul Ryan’s ass that it muffled any words you said.

No, Kevin: you’ve been a whiny cowardly bitch for years.

McCarthy reacts when he has to, and that’s about it. He has yet to speak out on the massive child poverty rate in Bakersfield, where CA-21 is based (37% of children 5 and under). Or the district’s horrible air quality, its geohistorically significant losses of groundwater, cancer clusters, or even his own nepotism in the awarding of nearly $8 million in no-bid contracts to his discriminated Cherokee brother-in-law. It’s only when it’s front-page news that he does anything, e.g. Renee Elmers. I believe he is the last remaining Young Gun.

King was sacrificed so Trump can keep being Trump.
