Discussion: McCarthy: Obama Isn't The Problem; Harry Reid Is

Gee, it seems the new Rethug leadership in the House is just as stupid, vapid, and clueless as the old one. What a fucking surprise.

Deflect, the guy who rounded up votes to repeal the ACA and stomp on women’s rights.

This appears to be his playbook now, get a majority in the senate and Obama will step and fetch it like a good house boy.

The VETO is second only to SCOTUS appointments and Nate now has four races shifted leaning blue.

Sounds like the Heritage talking points are in place.

Thanks, Sooner!

Oh, I fully agree with you concerning the House. We will pick up a few seats this time around, and should take it back in 2016.

As far as the GOP future, they are becoming (or already are) a regional party. And the region(s) they represent are the regions being impacted by the Hispanic demographic changes the most (Western and Southern). That is putting them in serious disalignment on a number of issues, not just immigration reform, with the populations they represent. Eventually, that cannot be maintained.

The expected outcome is that what was the GOP gets consumed by another party. The question is how does the Democratic party change as a result? At a higher level, do the progressives break off, or do the Blue Dogs? Because there will always be two parties in this country.

Another GOP hack to hear from: vomit time.

Actually, JoeKevin, It’s not the Senate’s fault. If the Republican-controlled House would stop sending the Senate pointless bills that thwart the will of the American people, they might get sent somewhere besides committee to die. I mean seriously, 50 bills to repeal Obamacare and you’re surprised that they die in the Senate?

Well, name a post office after Obama.

ā€œā€¦The challenge has beenā€¦ā€

Oh, thank God it isn’t me!

Because – take it from me – you don’t want to be in these guy’s cross hairs, especially when they get their dander all up in a huff. For me, that’s reason enough to keep their hands far away from any government power over me.

Do we hear an ā€œAmen!ā€ from our conservative brothers? Cliven?

Utterly unwilling to recognize that his party’s refusal to actually work with Democrats has anything to do with anything.

Compromise is a dirty word because it doesn’t sell snapple. If he wants to blame somebody he can blame Fox News and talk radio. The mighty wurlitzer is wagging the Republican dog. As a result nothing can ever be accomplished.

Would look like John Stewart if John Stewart had about forty fewer IQ points.

Not a good start for this dude.

What a great way to start out in the position of House Majority Leader, reach out and insult the people you want to move your agenda. I guess that throwing red meat to the activists that support you is your way to lead a country. Not so.

All Real Americans already knew/know Obama isn’t the problem.

It’s the Party of NO! and the Tea Potty folks.

Now how can this budget-cutter afford a suit like that on a government salary?

Meet the new dick. Just like the old dick.

In other words, Kev, you’ve got nothing.

The only thing that has moved in the republican-controlled house is in the restrooms.

Yeah but Harry Reid isn’t Black and at the end of the day that’s what this is really all about.

Am I the only one who thinks he looks a bit like Pete Carroll? I know the guy just won a Super Bowl, but for a longtime Patriots’ fan, that face suggests lost-ness and incompetence.

No Kevin, the problem isn’t Harry or Barack… but Republicans… look in a mirror dude…
