I swear, McCain needs to grow some Watergate-size balls to stand up to Dump’s abettors in chief.
Republicans need to understand that although 84% of republican voters approve Trump, that number is going to steadily fall, and it may be way to low by November 2018… They better cut Trump off now, yes, the deplorables are going to scream bloody murder, but hopefully they will get over it in a year or so, that way the support will be in a upswing by election time. The more they wait, the less time they have to recover.
The thing is Trump is damaged beyond repair to get any approval from democrats and non-deplorable independents. Republicans have to act decisively now even if the tax cut for Plutocrats has to wait a couple years.
A famous person once told me that all famous people who pick up books, immediately flip to the index to see if they are mentioned in the book. Is there anything more attractive to us than our own name? Unless it’s on a subpoena, I reckon.

Problem: anybody can have an ‘agenda’, but shoving it through requires legislation, which the Rs simply have not written. Health care? Tax reform? They can’t get beyond a few obvious give-aways and take-aways.
Trump provides a convenient cover for their haplessness. They’ve now all lined up to wring their hands collectively. It’s always somebody else’s fault.
