Discussion: McCain: White House Scandals Are Hitting 'Watergate Size And Scale' (VIDEO)

Collins seems to be energized this morning as well. Are the light bulbs finally going off? Murkowski and Flake been heard from? Portman?

Do yourselves a favor and flee the ship. Find a scapegoat or two (suggestion: Ryan and McConnell), blame it on them, walk away, and rebuild your party. The longer you hesitate the more damage it’s going to do to you

But isn’t Grampy still in non-denial denial? He’s not saying anything about the present, just worrying about the 1% tax cut. What are the others saying?

OT-What about the blacked -out tpm putin story?

McCain sounds more like he’s lamenting on the fact the GOP won’t be able to shove through their agenda … what with all this Trump drama and all.

While my first inclinations back in January were to see this so-called President impeached as quickly as possible, I’d rather he hang on a while.

  1. Things will likely get worse, and it’s entertaining, in a “Wow! Look at the car wreck!” sort of way.
  2. None of Ryan and McConnell’s bad ideas will get passed in Congress due to the distractions.
  3. It all becomes worse for the Republicans come November 2018.

I think we should just let it run its course for a while.

I think it was smart, and also appropriate, that Schiff said there shouldn’t be a rush towards impeachment. Let it happen when the Republicans beg for it.

Too many scandals, too little bandwidth?

There definitely shoulddn/'t be a rush, but the longer the process goes, the more likely Trump will strt ginning up a war–with tacit help from our adversaries. It’s a tough call

…at which point, Senator Schumer can demand huge concessions from McConnell in exchange for Democratic votes to impeach.

Precisely.

Brave GOP Senators – because they aren’t in the House where impeachment has to start. They still aren’t calling out Ryan by name to do something.

On the positive side, McCain is pointing out to his GOP colleagues in Congress that the issues that have come up won’t go away soon. It isn’t realistic to expect that they can do a few days of hearings in a few committees, release a “mistakes were made” report, and move on to the GOP agenda.

Ha! The ‘fake war hero’ strikes back.
Making enemies for no reason what so ever is a terrible idea.

They can’t impeach quickly enough. He is extremely dangerous. The question is what will Putin tell the republicans to do next?

“And you know, my friends, none of us … feel this is not good for America,” McCain continued.

WTF!?! Speak for yourself, Senator McCain!

If anything at all can be said in Trump’s favor, it is that he is at least impeding their hideous agenda. Unintentionally, but still…

I think McCain has talked enough.

I’m really surprised they are not seeing the advantage to themselves in dealing with Trump quick, fast and in a hurry. They could brag about country before party, blah, blah, blah and Pence would certainly sign their loathsome legislation.

"to my Republican friends, I don’t see how you can say that just the confirmation of Judge Gorsuch is enough of a record for us to stand before the American people in 2018.”

can’t disagree.
