Discussion: McCain Buried At Naval Academy Alongside Longtime Friend

I like that he stayed next to his friend, instead of Arlington.

Does his wife want to be buried there?

And it began with his grandfather, who wasnā€™t shot down and captured.

Iā€™ve been way past military adulation for a long time. I wanted more for those whose lives were cut short because the MIC wanted to make a buck.

Yea, he didnā€™t leave her much choice, Surprising, not. Iā€™m not much of a fan of burials to begin with.

Yep.

She could decide to be interred someplace else but probably wonā€™t. However, if she is cremated, it is possible to divide up the cremains and bury some then scatter some or place them in a special spot.

I wondered if she would remarry. That was quite the widowā€™s dress.

Senator Dan Sullivan (R-AK) on Meet The Press today addressed the ā€œriftā€ between Space Farce Cadet Bone Spurs and Sid McCrashcup and, I guess, explained why it was normal for POTUS to be absent from The Last Fellation of John.

ā€œWhat Iā€™ve seen this week, really, is a message of unity.ā€

Yeah. Thatā€™s what I saw too, Dan ā€” an almost surreal National Heroā€™s send-off orchestrated by a dead man specifically designed to send an unmistakable ā€œFUCK YOU!ā€ to another guy (whoā€™d been specifically disinvited to the party ā€¦ because he wasnā€™t a National Hero?) who sat on a throne furiously tweeting his reactions in a desperate cry for attention while intermittently plopping marble-sized dehydrated turds into his golden thunder mug and hitting Tweet. Unity. Nooooooo ā€¦ Synchronicity!

When I think of beloved Sid and and his masterfully planned and executed Self-aggrandizement Weekend, I think ā€¦ I think ā€¦ Iā€™m getting verklempt.

This probably expresses my feelings better than my words ever could: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HO17B-ACRn0

Fun Fact: Diminutive unindicted war criminal Henry ā€œHankā€ Kissinger spoke at the ā€œĀ”Adios, Juan!ā€ affair.

ā€œOur country has had the good fortune that at times of national trial a few great personalities have emerged to remind us of our essential unity and inspire us our sustaining values. John McCain was one of those gifts of destiny,ā€ he said.

Kissinger, in 1968, purposely scuttled peace plans to get Nixon elected, thereby ensuring McCain could spend another 4.5 years as a POW.

Heā€™s a great guy.

I wouldnā€™t be surprised - she needs an escort to all the charity balls. Sheā€™s in society and Iā€™d be wiling to make a bet on it.

Okay, now that McCain is quiet, letā€™s talk: WTF is wrong with his BFF Lindsey??? Iā€™ve been thinking that he is angling to replace Sessions, but a friend thinks Empty Dumpty has something that he is blackmailing him over, because that is the only way the Orange Asshole operates. More ideas?

Heā€™s only got Lieberman to felch now. And heā€™s busy. You know how it is? Flex Straw clenched in your teeth, Viagra in hand ā€¦ ready to party!

On second thought, maybe you donā€™t. Ever been a Southern Sinator, son?

ā€œHe tried to drain the swamp before it was cool, that you can fight hard and still be respected. If you forgive, people appreciate it, and if you admit to mistakes, you look good as a stronger man. Thatā€™s the formula, John McCain. This was a civics lesson for anybody who wanted to listen. Why do we remember this man? Because of the way he conducted his public life.ā€

Wouldnā€™t it be wonderful if Lindsey would pick up his BFFā€™s mission and carry it forward?

I guess thatā€™s too much to ask.

I wanted to vomit when Henry Kissinger spoke - for exactly the reason you mentioned. And I havenā€™t seen any other comments on the disgusting irony of Kissinger being heralded as an appropriate speaker at this event.

Wow. Thatā€™s the most disgusting thing Iā€™ve read here. I wonder if Josh has a badge for that.

That is curious. It seems he turned down the higher honor and chose his own place to rest, away from DC.

I thought he was dead. Must have been a dream.

Iā€™m glad that this whole thing is over because I am at odds with myself.
Thumbs up for his patriotic character and strength as a POW after getting shot down.
Thumbs down for all the women and children he incinerated before he got shot down.
Thumbs up for his thumbs down on the Obamcare vote.
Thumbs down for being in favor of bombing almost anywhere.
Thumbs up for orchestrating a three day insult to Trump with his services.
Thumbs down for allowing that ghoul Kissenger to speak.

Can we go back to, oh I donā€™t know, 1968 and start over?

Wowā€¦you do know that Cindy McCain is the CEO of Hensley &Co donā€™t you? She is worth a couple hundred million herself. She is no bimbo or ā€˜society wifeā€™.

He tried to drain the swamp after having almost gone to prison for corruption. And was near the bottom of his class (what do you call the guy who graduates at the bottom of their class at the naval academy? Sir.). But he still managed to be miles more honest and decent than the vast majority of his republican colleagues.

I wish we could now have a John McCain Death Commemoration Event daily, just to drive Trump crazy with envy, resentment, and spite.
