Discussion for article #232295
He did not mention what he would do if he was selected as a VP candidate by the Primary winner, but no one asked the question either.
He does make a good point on the Gov vs Senator thing. Governors don’t necessarily make better candidates than Senators.
Random needs to make a similar decision before he goes any further instead of trying to manipulate the Kentucky legislature…
Little Marco jumping up and down in the back behind the Big Kids and saying “Me! Me! Pick me!”
Marco H-2-O mentioned that if he wants to be president…
Hey! WaterManChild Just be cause you want to be president doesn’t make it so.
Memo to Marco Rubio: Give up your day job!
I’ll believe it if he resign his seat. he won’t want to lose the option of campaigning in the fall if he loses in the presidential primaries. Given that his 15 minutes seem to be up, this must be a trial balloon to see if anyone cares.
Since neither Rand nor Rubio is likely to make it out of Iowa, I don’t think they’ll have to worry about this.
So what you’re telling me is that Marco Rubio isn’t going to run for President.
Yeah. Just ask Rmoney and McCan’t.

He’s on stalking horse duty for Jeb. He may as well have said “Unlike Rand Paul…”
Serious Q: Does this guy even pass the citizen test for Prez, for real?
run, marco, run. i am sick and tired of your nonsense. the sooner you decide to run the better. go away. scoot. scat. shoo.
Marco, you may soon be able to return to your home in Cuba. I’m sure it will be nice to see your long lost family. Cuba will be a breath of fresh air for you.
I think you’re on it…Marc2O
Bingo! His decision point is much more complicated than Paul’s. He knows he can’t win the presidential nomination…but if anybody but Jeb wins the nomination, Rubio makes the short list of VP candidates. He significantly increases his chances of being selected if he is also a semi viable candidate in the nomination process.
But if Jeb wins, then Marco is not only not on the list, he is out a job as a Senator. (One that he shouldn’t be taking for granted either way…he is far from safe). So its quite the quandary he faces.
He is not the brightest bulb in the pack, certainly…but the Constitution sets a remarkably low bar for qualifications…natural born citizen, lived here for the past 14 years, is at least 35, and hasn’t led any armed insurrections against the United States recently. He passes all of those tests.
There’s always a cabinet position that needs filled. Marco and Jeb are tight.
