Ellis thinks he has a sense of humor …

Needs to be reminded that he does not —

I guess the judge gets cranky when doing his job keeps him away from Fox too long? Or does he want to want “Dancing Ellises” to start showing up on late night shows?

Not following you.

I was commenting on the suggestion or implication that the defense was potentially vigorous and worthy when likely it will be along the lines of liar liar pants on fire thus my asking if OP was being snarkish.

These are indeed snark infested waters here.

Court Security Officer? Something significant or “we’re bailing for the day, here’s what to do with the jury”?

It seems to me the “conspiracy” mentioned in the heading is the conspiracy to commit bank fraud charge against Manafort, and the correction is necessary because the conspiracy charge does not require as an element that the loan be granted. Ellis made have mislead the jury by implying with his comment about a loan that wasn’t granted that it is material whether the fraud resulted in the loan being granted; apparently it’s against the law to lie in a loan application regardless of whether the loan is granted, which only makes sense. The judge is being an ass, in short.

This supports my theory that the Judge is dealing with a catheter that is not resting easy in his bodily canals, causing somewhat of a distraction for him and making him lash out at bizarre moments, after which he adjusts himself and feels a bit more at ease, after which he thinks back on his outbursts and tries to make amends as best he can.

My recommendation is to gently yank that sucker out of there, first deflating the balloon trapping it in the bladder by withdrawing water through the foley tube with a plastic syringe, then easing the whole apparatus out of his member with care. Make sure your prescription for Tamsulosin is current and don’t drink anything too acid or too basic. Reschedule the urology appointment, but perhaps consult with your general physician to keep her in the loop.

Finally, if you are going to use aspirin, make sure it’s buffered.

You mean colluding with the bank?

With slightly higher stakes.

My mistake, thought you were referring to the egregious typo in the filing.

I obviously jumped the snark here…

From your lips. Would also explain the Twittiot’s unhinged rants as of late.

Nope. That is just SOP. He underscored it because he was stressing they should be open minded, which referred to his potentially prejudicial tantrums.
