This Judge is a joke.

real competition for Lance Ito.

He also repeatedly urged the jurors to keep an open mind about the trial and not to discuss it with anyone… on Friday morning he said he needed to “underscore” those rules…

Not a good sign. That suggests to me that there’s been some juror misconduct.

Standard judge to jury blather. It means may not get back to the evidence until Monday and he doesn’t want their views hardening up over the long weekend. (Because we’re required to pretend that hasn’t already happened to the ones it was going to happen to).

Could be multiple issues but this was also filed this morning.

It really must be something because this guy hates delays. This is the rocket docket after all, so I agree with Mr. neutron this could be about the jury or something else really important.

Oh bingo…that’s it! You found the answer.

This is worrisome. Especially after the judge’s (kind of) apology for his own conduct. Geez, is it asking too much that he just do his job without pursuing the limelight for himself? Criminy….

It sort of smells like Manafort is about to make a plea.

Ron, that would be awesome but I’m afraid that’s too much to hope for.

So we’ve had two motions to correct judicial errors thus far. Hmm.

My thoughts, too. Manafort knows he’ll be found guilty and suddenly wants to cut a deal. This could get interesting.

TRUMp is GOING to throW the CASE from THE court because it is FAKE NEWS and FIND ManaforT not guilty because HE barely knows WHO the Guy even iS. Barely worked on HIS campaign.

Maybe the jury was discussing the judges performance.

So does anyone know what recourse the prosecution has if the verdict comes back “not guilty” and there has been this much misconduct from the judge?

Ellis has been taking hell for his comments. I am sure other judges have made their feelings known. He is catching on that this is the last big case of his career and he doesn’t want to blow it. The first motion was granted quickly. The second should be granted quickly as well.

This matter is something different, requiring the parties attention.

Maybe he can’t take apologizing two days in a row.
