Vladimir Putin is so proud of his friend Manafort.

I’m just wondering if he’s that stupid, or just that well paid.

I won’t expect this everywhere in the media, but TPM at least should from here on out refer to him always as “pathological liar Paul Manafort.” It’s most respectful if you use people’s full titles.

Awesome. So crime is far lower than Trump is claiming using these statistics since it is in the FBIs interest in making crime on the rise so it can get more funding… right?

(evil grin)

Better Manafort – “Facts, we don’t need no stinking facts.”

The long term damage done by this kind of verbal vomit is harmful to our long term ability to govern ourselves as a republic. It undermines the legitimacy of our institutions in irreparable ways. Manafort should have to answer for this affront to our system of justice.

Rich white middle-aged conservative Republicans don’t feel safe.

Guess what? You’re not safe. You’re an endangered species.

“But as far as crime in the neighborhoods, people don’t feel safe. They’re not safe in their neighborhoods, and the crime that you see is because no one feels as if the system is protecting their interest,”

… So the Repugs don’t need facts when they’ve got paranoia… got it…

So Trump’s speech is strongly pro-police, but his spokesman bad mouths the FBI prior to said speech–LOL

Said the Dictator Image Rehab Specialist.
This guy is a cross between a used ministry salesman, a mob fixer and a game show host.

In the good old days, a person who lied like Manafort (about Melania’s plagiarism) would have been toast. But today, he’s back, and being propped up by the whores in the media.

It’s all driven by their propaganda. Actual data is unimportant, since they manufacture their own version of “reality”.

It’s essentially rolling back the Age of Reason.

Manafort is such a small and. after the de-selection, footnote. Will he resurface? Sure. You never know where the mythological sea serpent might show up. [see Gringrich, Newt]

Should he be punished for his pathological lying? No.

The legitimacy of our institutions is already irreparably harmed. They’ve been mercilessly chipped away at since a B-movie actor with a seemingly sunny disposition said “Government is not the problem. Government is the problem.” [St. Ronnie 1:1] And now we are at, it seems, a turning point.

As Alexis de Tocqueville wrote, “In a democracy people get the leaders they deserve.” We shall see who we are.

Manafort: “Well, the FBI is certainly suspect these days after what they did with Hillary Clinton.”

Clearly, the conspiracy runs far deeper than we ever imagined.

It now implicates:

  • Sec. Clinton, the IG, and State.
  • The House and Senate Intelligence Committees.
  • The DOJ, FBI, CIA, NSA, UN, and IAEA.
  • The Communist Dictator of North Korea.
  • Geek Squad.
  • Vince Foster.
  • The Missing Lindbergh Baby.
  • Socks.

Well, the new GOP of the Trumpeters certainly has inherited the anarchist genes of their Tea Party progenitors. For short term advantage, they seek to destroy our confidence in every thing that government tells us; and yet they want to seize that government. To use for what purpose, we may wonder.
