Wondering how a person can shoot his own finger while trying to unjam a semi-auto gun. One hand holds the grip while the other moves the slide back and forward trying to expel the jammed round, hopefully after the magazine has been removed…there is more to this stupid than has been told.

If you must have a pistol, get a revolver. They don’t jam, they’re easier to clean, and they aren’t marketed to promote magical, wannabe, vigilante thinking in their owners’ minds. You can tell just by looking at a revolver whether it’s loaded or not and in the long run, you can blaze through just as many rounds in an afternoon at the range.
The smart guy probably wouldn’t have a gun in the first place.

Shouldn’t we make sure these operations have doctors on staff with admitting privileges at hospitals within a mile of the gun range?
I mean, conservative America is all about having the government legislate safety now.

Another victory for the NRA.
Not knowing the details and to guess what really happened, I would say the first guy was holding the gun on the palm of both hands like he was showing it to a friend, but with the finger on the trigger, possibly ignoring the gun had a chambered round. Boom goes the gun taking out his finger, blasting through the friend leg and into the wall.
Terrible to see how many stupid people are free to handle guns.
