But, but, it’s wrong to suggest that voting has consequences. Clearly it was really Michaud’s fault for not “earning” their votes or for running a bad campaign. Or the state legislature’s fault for not requiring a run off. You’re just trying to silence dissent! We will never free ourselves of the bonds of the two party duopoly with that kind of thinking! Also, too, no real difference between Michaud and LaPage.

The old expression was “never pick a fight with somebody who buys ink by the barrel.” One updated version could be “never pick a fight with a world-famous author with a fanbase in the millions that will avidly read weekly installments of his next novel when he posts them online over the next six months.”
