JHC. Pull your big boy pants up and do something for your freakin’ STATE. You are a reprehensible moron. I truly am sick of the mediocre getting elected time after time.

Gotta keep a couple of them around, just as a reminder DNA can be a cruel game of Russian roulette.

Let’s ban the use of taxpayer funds for sports stadiums before Republicans come out of their racist fever.

Do not.

I repeat…

A Republican Louisiana lawmaker on Monday proposed cutting millions in state tax dollars and subsidies for the New Orleans Saints and the NFL after some of the team’s players refused to stand for the national anthem, according to The New Orleans Advocate.

Just watering that “tree of liberty” :expressionless:

And Kenny Havard looks like he’s carrying a lot of water in his precious bodily fluids.

“Disrespecting our national anthem and flag in the name of social injustice is the highest form of hypocrisy,”

“Our free society made possible by our fighting men and women has made available free education, free lunch, housing and free healthcare and is now be considered socially unjust. It’s time the taxpayers quit subsidizing protest on big boy playgrounds.”

We should all observe this republican, State Rep. Kenny Havard is feigning a false patriotism and would rather blindly support Putin’s installed puppet, a real Manchurian candidate, than support our resilient constitution that provides for political dissent.
The football players political dissent is about the fact that black people are killed at a much higher rate than whites by the police. Murderous police brutality is a real thing and is a profound problem for the black community. When this asshole republican pretends he loves the national anthem and our constitution, he doesn’t think the blacks have a real complaint nor should they make a big deal out of it at a football game. Havard is simply stroking his Louisiana white racist base to rile up his support.
State Rep. Kenny Havard way of thing thinking is exactly what the black football players are protesting about and he is a despicable racist.

Once again the formula holds: R + LA = Asshole. Sad.

Ok, son, YOU be the one to tell Louisiana fans why the Saints are moving out of state, and YOU be the one to tell the hotel owners and restaurant owners and bar owners and rental car agencies and the airlines and the parking lot owners that YOU have driven the Saints out of state. Go ahead! Seriously! Go ahead! Because when y’all were begging the voters for public money to support the Superdome, YOU argued that you needed the Saints for economic reasons!

Why do they play the national anthem at NFL games in the first place? They don’t play it at rock concerts or other live performances, just at games.

My guess is the teams play the anthem to bask in a sort of patriotic glow. They want us all to believe the NFL is an all American event with greater meaning to our national life than that of a mere game. That Trump and the players would latch on to the anthem for their own purposes is as American as apple pie.

In the meantime, what is actually going on in Korea? .

Does raise the question of why they should be getting state taxpayer funding in the first place.
