OK, I bite but has also not Cannon Law for Catholics, Rabbinical Law for Jews, etc been implemented with those communities and NO ONE, NO ONE comes crying and weeping about it.

But, Rush, you support the implementation of Sharia law in the US. You supported Indiana’s law, which said that the government “cannot intrude on a person’s religious liberty unless it can prove a compelling interest in imposing that burden and do so in the least restrictive way.” Surely, you aren’t arguing that the law would only apply to Christians (right, Rush?). So, if a group of Muslims wishes to be governed by Sharia law in Indiana, or any of the other states adopting this principle, you’re in favor of that, right?

Isn’t that what the Religious Freedom Restoration Acts (RFRA) are all about? Making the US safe for sharia law? I know that the Christo-fascists believe that RFRAs are meant to protect the right of “good Christians” to discriminate against gays, but once you bar the state from interfering with “deeply held religious beliefs”, you open the door not just to sharia law but also to the practice of thuggee by devotees of Kali.

Name the State/County/City and detail the exact statue(s) that you claim are “Sharia Law”, then explain WHAT “Sharia Law” is and how it applies in this case.
