Following conservative outrage over President Obama's decision to revert the name of Mt. McKinley back to the mountain's native Alaskan name of Denali, liberal group CREDO Action has launched a petition to change the name of Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.
The name of the airport could still describe Reagan, but unfortunately there already is an airport named LAX.

I’ve always thought that if the GOP wanted to accurately memorialize Reagan’s legacy, then they should have named a sewage plant in his honor instead of an airport.

Like the “bygones” of Nancy Pelosi and B.O. after the 2008 election. There should have been congressional investigations; maybe a kind of truth and reconciliation commission. But the decision to forgo was made “because of the good of the country.” Yet as soon as the GOP comes in to power, it’s 24/7/365 mindless investigations on every mindless conspiracy theory, however demented and fraudulent.

Funny you should mention this, but in 1968 there was a measure on the ballot here in San Francisco to rename a sewage treatment plant after bush, but it failed by 69%.

At any rate, I know they tried to name it after Dubya recently, and it sadly failed.

Deliberate Values Dissonance: Parodied. At the “Ronald Reagan Hospital for the Mentally Insane,” the sign reads “We Cure People the Old Fashioned Way”. Cut to a bunch of orderlies beating a patient with slapjacks, while telling him “It’s for your own good!”
