Why emphasize the race at all in describing the women unless the point was to say that the drug dealers aren’t white? You got caught, governor. Own it and apologize. Or, don’t apologize, but don’t pretend everyone else is five.

The GOP doesn’t have issues with race at all. Nope.

Apparently they are the “Untouchables”, so, not to worry.

The only thing more shocking than LePage’s stupidity and incompetence is that Mainers elected him - twice. It’s an object lesson in the adage that you get the government that you deserve with an electorate that is too lazy and disengaged to actually inform themselves and vote.

You have to be so dumb and think us just as dumb to take that angle. His handles should have ( perhaps they did ) told him to STFU and let the mess die. But to take this lame and obviously bullshit way out leaves you with no other explanation than he just so fucking dumb.

It’s true that he didn’t specify the race of “D-Money, Smoothie and Shifty”. But he DID say that they were specifically impregnating white girls - which kind of implies that he sees them as something “other than white”.

LePage and Trump were sandbox buddies. Notice how he can’t even take responsibility for what he said – it’s always someone else who’s responsible for the interpretation of his “code words.” Even when the words have long since been “code” or any kind of “whistles.”

Bluster. Never do anything wrong or untoward. Can’t think of anything they ever regret. Don’t “believe” in critical thinking. Today’s American conservative.

Thing is, LaPage’s statement was totally within the boundaries set by the guidelines Republicans now apply in determining whether a statement is out of bounds as racist. It really, really was. Said white, but didn’t say black and only alluded to race by using stereotypically black names like “Sambo” and “Buck” “D-Money” and “Smoothie.”

I think we all heard you loud and clear, Governor Asshole.

Ahhh the good old ‘I didn’t use racist words so I’m not racist. I just racist code words’ defense.

Then why did you specify “white girls,” moron?

But by all means keep talking, Governor.
