What’s false about it? What the folks wanted was a video that could be construed as documenting PP selling baby parts. They got that. they’ll have their investigation into this legal…but to many shocking activity and they will shut PP down. It’s how the GOP’ers play and it’s how they’ve played for a long time. If their opposition is still going to fall for that crap…then fall hard as far as I am concerned. PP is dead. That fucking idiot of doctor in the vid finished it.

Trent Franks is one weird [and weird-looking] dude. And I would extend Jon Stewart’s, little metaphor on how it feels to watch Fox News; which he has to because it’s part of his job. He likens it to turd-mining and that he’s afraid he’s going to contract “turd lung disease”. I feel the same way reading about these GOP wanker-creeps day-in-day-out, no matter what the forum.
He may be the country’s most irrelevant congressman, passing exactly zero of the 45 bills he’s sponsored. Few have been taken seriously enough to even merit a vote.
As Frank sees it, his job isn’t to move America forward. It’s to talk, talk, and talk some more about abortion.

Rep. Trent Franks (R-AZ), pictured above, said he saw the video a month ago but didn’t act on its supposed revelations immediately because “the hope was to have as much information as possible so that the authorities could be notified effectively before the media.”
Notify the authorities? … About an albeit creepy to many but totally legal practice? I’d like to see the medical research and development and bio-technology communities come out and put these serious asshats in their places.

Disappointing that this TPM article fails to mention the fact that the video was heavily edited, in a way that completely changed what was being discussed - which was a conversation about lawful reimbursement for out-of-pocket shipping and prep expenses in shipping fetal tissue for medical research purposes with the patient’s consent, which is completely legal. Just another seriously misleading right wing attack on women’s rights, in which GOP house members were apparently complicit.
