Discussion: Land O'Lakes' Support Of Steve King Melts After White Nationalist Comments

Maybe the Cantaloupe Producers of America can step in and pick up the slack…

I hate to imagine what sort of fact-finding mission King was on when he visited Holocaust sites in Germany.

“So how exactly did the Nazis manage to kill so many Jews so efficiently?”

I wonder what my grocery store would say if I returned my unused Land o’Lakes butter saying it’s rancid due to racism.

Think of his trip to Auschwitz as a pilgrimage…

What’s maddening about all of this is that corporations are able to donate money to political campaigns at all. So freaking broken.

Uh oh, I’ve got big time penance to do. I’ve been buying Land O’Lakes butter for about 50 years, having no idea what they were doing with the money. Ignorance is no excuse. Mea culpa.

That makes 2 of us, Ted.

Mea maxima culpa

King also lost Intel as a campaign donor (They had already given him $2000 this year, though). (source HuffPost)

Intel? AT&T? What the hell?

The only support that matters is voter support - King currently being shown with an 80% chance of winning by 538. Since all of Iowa’s other districts are either solid blue or leaning blue, we must assume Steve knows full well who lives in his district and there must be a lot of White Nationalism there.

Like they didn’t have a clue what King was about before they were threatened with a boycott.

Wow…THIS is what it took to realize Steve King was a miserable piece of humanity??? C’mon LOL…your’e slipping or it’s past time to change your logo…

Okay, so now you’re going to stop buying their products, after they’ve wised up? This is how you reward better behavior?

To be fair, it’s a little early to say they’ve “wised up”.

As a resident of Land O’Lakes, Florida, I’d just like to say that we never supported King. Or the made any butter for that matter.

So they’re not giving him any more money this cycle. How reassuring.

Btw, in addition to the butter thing, Land O Lakes is also (iirc) in the top ten of agribusiness conglomerates.
