Discussion: Land O'Lakes' Support Of Steve King Melts After White Nationalist Comments

“King’s promotion of white supremacist talking points, while always known, has faced extra scrutiny recently. In August, during a trip funded by a Holocaust memorial group in which he toured Nazi death camps, Scalise gave an interview to a magazine associated with the far-right Austrian Freedom Party, which was founded by a former Nazi.”

Uhm… what’d Scalise have to do with this article?

“AT&T’s PAC gave King’s campaign $5,000 on Sept. 30, for example, totalling $10,000 this cycle.”

Time to check out Sprint! Boycotts work! We common citizens who don’t have a multi-million dollar lobbying budget have just our vote and pocketbook.

Vote Democratic, and use this list to avoid giving $$ to people who then give it to Trump:

Faced with a potential boycott of its products, Land O’Lakes, Inc., the agriculture cooperative, announced Tuesday that its political action committee “will no longer support Rep. Steve King moving forward.”

That’s an interesting statement from Land O’ Lakes because thus far, they have fully supported Steve King moving backwards.

I always buy the store brand. Occasionally, LOL if it’s on sale cheaper.

eta: I never noticed any difference.

Is nothing sacred? The butter I’ve been using for years in my famous chocolate chip cookies supports Steve King? I picked up some Irish butter a few weeks ago just to try it on toast, etc. Good stuff, guess I’ll see how it works in my cookies.

I KNOW!!! It’s ridiculous! Corporations aren’t people and don’t have a vote. The only reason for contributing to a political campaign is bribery. It’s incredible we allow this.

Somebody on Twitter mentioned you can make your own in a Mason jar, so I looked it up. Sounds rather amusing.

Much better. LOL isn’t as good as it used to be, and I’ve stopped buying it except for baking, which isn’t that often any more.

When someone finally gets a hold of the donor’s lists of moneies paid to dark money PACs then the corporate list of who has been naughty or nice will be long. And I hope consumers will unforgiving.

For better behavior I’ll grant them probation. After 5 years of good behavior I’ll buy their butter again. Too harsh?

What is it about a complaisant woman of color, on her knees, in a servile position, that you think the Nazis disapprove of?

Besides, “Land O’ Einsatzgruppen” would require some serious layout changes.

Yep. Just slip in some Memphis Slim into the box, and make your own buttah while you listen and glisten to the sounds of Churnin’ Man, and you’ll have some of that sweet stuff, and lots of admirers all around in no time!
