Discussion for article #222218
Silver should remember how he was humiliated on Fox Not the News when he denied Ohio went for Ob…What?..Sorry, that was somebdy else.
Never mind.
he should start a polling firm with dickhead morris.
Yeah, but what does Dick Morris think?
He’s an alternative reality universe version of a numbers guy, like Paul Ryan is.
The underlying premise in this story seems to be that these guys should be ashamed of being wrong. But right/wrong is not the point, but rather increasing clicks and eyes, and they seem to be doing just fine, with a little assist from TPM.
Numbers guy, hunh?
Looks like we just discovered Hugh_Everett’s civilian identity!

So we still don’t know what it would take to totally humiliate Karl Rove.
Because you just found out that there is a number between four and six, that does not make you a ‘numbers guy,’ Josh.
Well Rove thinks it was a smart piece we can be sure it is wildly off the mark.
Just waiting for Bill Kristol to chime in here about how correct he is, so we can erase all doubt of him being a fucking reeree.
Did Bill ever deny he got pied in the face in Indiana?
Outside of Anita Bryant taking one for the team that was the best pieing I can think of.
I think this is a good thing. Let them go on believing they are winning. They’ll feel safe and not bother campaigning as hard. It’s sorta fun to watch if you see it from the right perspective. In fact I think we should all start agreeing with them to put them off their guard.
We have another Silver hero these days, Adam. Move on they both are out of your league, loser.
For a “numbers guy” he does not seem to realize that Silver et al do not set the narrative. They react to it, usually with a few days lag time.
A “numbers guy” is not going to substitute for the terminal lack of GOP policies which earn majority support in the states that matter.
Another dummywad who loves em some republican pollsters. Romney was sure he was going to win election night because his republican pollsters and this man told him so. I am down on republican pollsters because most of them did horrible polling in 2012. It seems to me that there is hardly any non biased polling anymore. What we can do is go by the track record of pollster’s results from past elections. Obviously this man’s track record is not so good.
Conservatives appear to rely more on prophecy than math based prognostication.
“Josh Kraushaar was wildly off the mark with his projections for the 2012 presidential race, but the National Journal editor is hardly chastened.”
Failure is strongly correlated with career advancement at National Journal and other villager institutions.
This clown is still awaiting Ohio…
Kraushaar is a numbers guy? Just like Paul “Contagion” Ryan and can’t read an Excel spreadsheet? Where do they find these idiots?
