Politicians who CASH IN demonstrate what their moral values and ethical priorities are. Not only are their actions mercenary and exploitative; they serve and validate a Quid pro quo system of legislative reciprocity, imbalance, unfairness and inequality.
We live in a time when legislators ignore the will of the people in order to serve the financial interests of amoral predatory capitalists. People who place personal gain ahead of social, ethical, moral and national integrity are literally competing against America.
Lobbyists make millions of dollars because their efforts DON’T pay off?
Corporations pay politicians exorbitant fees because their CEOs are ALTRUISTIC PHILANTHROPISTS?
There are only two reasons to accept MONEY/PAYOFFS from lobbyists and/or CEOs…the willingness to accommodate and/or personal greed. BOTH are HIGHLY UNDESIRABLE characteristics for a Democratic presidential aspirant!
Others have taken money before me? It’s what they offered me? Who cares what it looks like, if they’re going to offer me money for nothing, I’m taking it? Is that the reasoning of a conscientious Democrat or an elitist conservative/corporate Republican?

Seriously, I don’t know what it is with people on the internet and RANDOM CAPITALIZATION, but whenever I SEE it I know I can safely IGNORE whatever THE person actually wrote.
If you feel like the random capitalization is helpful for emphasis, it isn’t. Emphasis is only meaningful if you use it sparingly. The whole point of emphasis is that you think the one or two things you’re emphasizing are really important, much more so than the rest of what you’re saying. So if you keep on emphasizing more and more, the less emphasizing you’re actually doing. At some point, you’re no longer drawing attention to important points, you’re just randomly shouting words.
And ultimately, if you can’t make your point persuasively, then random capital letters won’t help you.
Not to mention the lawn-care issues, rainbow poop does not exactly blend into the landscape. And just try scraping it off your shoes, if I had a nickel for everytime I hear my wife yelling about who’s leaving a trail of Skittles all over the carpet …
