And the reality is, a John Bel Edwards or a Steve Bullock would probably perform pretty well at the national level, if they ever got through the primaries. A lot of people who agree with the D’s on public schools, Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security would probably support a Democrat who didn’t insist on everything left on social issues. On those safety net and economic issues, we wipe the floor with the GOP, and It is possible that a lot of voters in socially conservative regions would still go for a D like that.

I’m sick to my stomach. I think they seriously get off on seeing millions of Americans panic and worry. Sick bastards, all of them.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful to not have to use health insurance because you are healthy? However, everyone could be a step away from tripping on a crack in a sidewalk, a car accident, flu turning into pneumonia, a knee with severe osteoarthritis ( my husband’s malady now), etc. Never would I begrudge anyone health care. Why are these pricks so selfish? Exactly what is being preached in churches these days?

I think I’m far more aghast at governors like Ducey, who would openly screw the people who live in Arizona, to cut the taxes of nonresident billionaires who frankly wouldn’t be caught dead there.

This is the central conflict within the GOP, played out in every jurisdiction. Do they ultimately side with the people who live there, or with the billionaires who don’t? For all the tons of ink spilled over the years, about how terrible are pork barrel and special interest local politics, I think unbounded, untethered ideological politics are far worse.

Beating the dead horse

The energy spent by some commenters on this site to stir up discontent among Democrats is truly Russia-worthy. Please stop trolling your version of the “left.” You seem unfamiliar with both the current Dem platform (which nowhere includes the phrase “depending on where you live” in regards to health insurance, minimum wage, campaign finance reform, etc.), OR past successful campaigns in “red” districts. Woe is us! We’ll never win as, you know, Democrats!..

Test post

They just don’t seem to give a shit about anyone else and claim any bad that happens is your own fault and/or god’s punishment for something you did or should have done.
