What, not enough Mooslims excluded for ya, BoB?

Hey, he’s working against PeePee here - get it? I’ll take it.

That’s what it says, but for some reason I’m kinda highly dubious of a Tennessee Republican coming to the rescue of an oppressed minority group. It ain’t in his heritage…

Call me cynical, but I hope you’re right.

When standing up to the Orange Nazi, if Corker pours about three more boxes of Lime Jell-O into the base of his neck, he might develop a spine as rigid as Crash McPalin, which is to say, non-existent.

Senator Corker: What part of No apologies do you not understand?

I think this motherfucker sold my brother a used Ford Pinto in 1975.

Don’t sweat it. He’s defending the congress, not actual people.

That’s not what he’s doing - so put that aside.

What he is doing is asserting the Legislative Branch’s power.

Poor Bob Corker…he’s actually got to do some work now. When that skinny black guy was in charge, Corker could lay back comfortable in the knowledge everything was taken care of. You miss that guy yet? I know I do.

You beat me too it.

Let’s say you supplied the supporting documents.

You are so witty.

Corker: “I think they understand it was a misfire here.”

Trump: “No misfire! No misfire! You’re the misfire!”

Let’s say I must not be reading the same article. I read it as how to tighten up the executive order, rather than calling it out as the racist piece of crap that it is.

But that’s just me…

It’s like raising demons - I say “witty” and here comes irasdad.

Yeah he isn’t going to do that, you’re right. That’s immoral, as well.

But he’s the Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and he already has made noise about this.

Half the board is running around with their hair onfire convinced that Trump is taking over and demolishing the other two branches by signing orders abolishing them.

The other two branches have power, too. Corker is asserting that and like it or not, it’s fucking important right now. It is the Legislative performing a check and a balance.

Which means the government is functional. We may not like the way it functions, but it’s still there and the Legislative is doing its job.

I see this ban as way worse than a thinly disguised attack on a minority group. It’s this administration’s first overt grab for absolute power.

They’re pushing aside the judiciary and congress (and any military advisors or career diplomats) and are going to double down hard.

I know this GOPer’s response was a mealy mouthed challenge of that. We’ll see if that is diplomatic window dressing or delusion.

But man oh man do we need the Republicans to wake up faster than it would be believed possible of them.

Well, you know, L’il Donald really didn’t mean to set fire to the cat. But we’re going to talk to him and find out what he was trying to do. And if he doesn’t have a good reason, well, we might consider taking that blow torch of his away.

Let’s hope they don’t back down. Too many parallels to 1930’s Germany for me, and Hitler had the politicians sewn up pretty darn quick.
