Discussion: Kelly 'Stunned' That Dem Rep. Criticized Trump's Call To Soldier's Widow

Trump didn’t even know Sargent Johnson’s name. Get real Kelly, you put up with Trump and you have the balls to criticize the Congresswoman.

Time to look at pictures of kittens again. God, this is a nightmare.

Unrelated to my earlier post in this thread but I think still pertinent.

Until such time as we have Instant Runoff Voting in this country

If any of you people in this thread ever vote for a Jill Stein or a Ralph Nader ever again I swear to Almighty Odin that I’ll pull a Liam Neeson on you.

The chickenhawks have come home to roost, Gen. Kelly.

John Kelly sacrificed the life of his son in the altar of the Industrial-Military Complex. He probably has no objection on doing the same with the memory of his son. You don’t want democrats cutting the military budget do you?

Dear John:

If you have to explain it you’ve already lost.

Sincerely, America

“Frequently, individuals on a treasonous path do not even realize they’re on that path until it gets to be too late.”

Sad. And that’s not snark.

I’d absolutely support Democrats cutting the insanely bloated military budget.

The difference is - you only have to fall on a real grenade once. Defending Trump is a daily death, until he sends someone to fire you.

A dignity wraith dies a thousand deaths before his death—and that’s just at the job interview.

Somebody needs to point out to General Kelly here that the woman he’s attacking, Representative Wilson, is a duly elected member of the civilian government of a democratic republic, the United States of America, to the authority of which the military is expected to respectfully submit. He answers to her: not the other way around.

And how dare this man invoke the dead as a backdrop for his fascist little rant, or suggest that he speaks for every service member buried at Arlington? There are socialists and even communists buried there, General Kelly: there are men who would be horrified to learn that they had shed blood so that men like you and Donald Trump could rule America.

How dare he indulge in this kind of General James Mattoon Scott, self-aggrandizing, B movie doublespeak? How dare he?

Trump: The right to listening in on any call belongs solely to Putin. We are not Russia.

See Josh’s post.

John Kelly’s Volcanic Remarks

If there’s anyone still wanting to believe this man is a patriotic savior of the country, his remarks should settle it; he is just another village idiot.

The more I see, the more I believe Kelly’s fully on board with Dump’s agenda. He’s just trying to keep Dump from saying the shit where everyone can hear him, instead of behind closed doors as is proper.

I’m going out on a limb to say the general has Stockholm Syndrome because he’s been held in the WH too long

I guess Kelly was telling the truth when he said he wasn’t there to control Trump; it is the other way around.

“You know, when I was a kid growing up, a lot of things were sacred in our country,” he said. “Women were sacred and looked upon with great honor. That’s obviously not the case anymore as we’ve seen from recent cases.

Obviously, that last part is verified every time you look in the big oval room next door to your office.

If General Kelly cares at all about the military as he professes, he should be extremely concerned that millions of young men and women, especially of color, will think twice about serving under this dishonorable Commander in Chief.

He needs to speak truth to power, not excuse Trump’s behavior. That’s what his oath requires.

I’d respectfully disagree. Because, well, who replaces him? I mean, the more people who get canned by the administration and the more erratic and insane it becomes, the worse the replacements are.

Not ALL of them, but I do think there are a couple of miserable SOBs staying in their current role for love of country. Not on the side of the political spectrum that we might like, but maybe better than the replacement alternative.

People seem to forget that Kelly is an a-hole. He coddled Trump during the Piebus days, and even wanted to believe Trump’s ludicrous claim that Obama wiretapped him. (https://www.thenation.com/article/meet-john-kelly-donald-trumps-new-enabler-in-chief/)

Kelly’s screed about the good ol’ days—when non-whites and women knew their place and no one dared criticize an a-hole—should bring it all back.

And the Trumpists will eat it all up. Yet there are liberals beating themselves up over not being empathic enough toward Trump’s base.

Here’s a short blog that explains why they shouldn’t:

Enjoy!
