Discussion for article #239561
No doubt he pictures it in his mind much like a knitting circle where the wimminz gather and do their gossiping while he menfolk are out hunting and building barns.
In a country that began by fighting a revolution to get out of a monarchy, people discussing what they would do when king should immediately be disqualified from running for President.
This is probably one of those guys that called Obama a communist because he wanted to ensure healthcare for all. The convergence of irony and hypocrisy.
Whatta nut job! Freedom of assembly, speech?
How’s about we take away all the perks politicians get like free travel, free lodging, free foods, paid for health club memeberships, Cadillac insurance and the like. Talk about bitchin’ and moanin’!
Whatta dork!
Please, proceed Mr. Jackass.
Funny, my wife’s a teacher, and not only does she never get near a teachers’ lounge, she never gets near a lunchroom because that’s her only planning time (as opposed to the “planning period” when she’s coaching students and going to mandatory meetings). Plus, of course, there are the weekends and evenings she works to keep up and to create lesson plans and her /our own money she spends on supplies.
Kasich is supposed to be the intelligent compassionate conservative in this primary?
The Trumping down of the GOP field.
Pragmatic policy is out.
Nonsensical sound bites to enthrall the base are in.
Well heck, just do what we’re doing here in good ol’ Kansas… Slash the teachers pay to such a degree there’s a shortage and hire people with no teaching degree to teach your kids!
What could go wrong?!
The best way to stop free speech is to outlaw it, or at least close the place where it happens.
Kill them all and let Trump sort them out! A New Republican Revolution!
Booyay!!!
Tyrant! Or does that only apply to trying to get everyone in the country healthcare?
Meanwhile, there is a developing shortage of teachers because no one wants to go into that profession anymore. Gee, I wonder why?
Blame Trump for surfacing what their true feelings are.
Before Trump the Repubs were good at hiding their intentions behind dog whistles. Trump, by owning his ridiculous beliefs, has forced the others to bring out their true beliefs.
What a great idea! Maybe if we just got rid of the First Amendment, then workers in any profession would never be able to get together and talk about problems they have with their jobs. That would solve everything! In the meantime the beatings will continue until morale improves. So glad that a moderate centrist like John Kasich is still welcome within the Republican party. // (sarcasm)
“Ohio Gov. John Kasich ® on Wednesday said that he would like to get
rid of teachers’ lounges to reduce how much teachers worry about losing
their jobs.”
By this Kasich is saying he is against freedom of association and freedom of speech. Basically the 1st amendment in toto.
Fuck you Kasich.
Wait one… if he proceeds as you suggest then we lose the 1st amendment. That is not a good idea.
Maybe the movie The Faculty.
If I were king: the cowardly lying.
You got it in one!
“If you’re a terrible teacher, then you should be doing something else
because you’re going to find more satisfaction doing something else that you’re good at,” he said. “We have to constantly communicate that.”
They ARE constantly communicating that - if you don’t want to be abused, made a scapegoat for kids not learning all the while being paid sh*t for your troubles, then you, the teacher, are the problem. And, as you said, the obvious result is that there’s a shortage of teachers in many schools around the counntry.
Unfortunately, for all of us, the baggers don’t realize that this not only affects inner-city schools (because there’s no point in wasting good teachers on “those” people anyway) but their schools as well.
