I live near where this happened. My daughter was planning to bring her boyfriend home to introduce him to the family. He was born here, but his family is from India, and he looks Indian. They postponed the trip after this happened. His mother was apprehensive about it, and to be honest, so was I. They came here for my other daughterās wedding 3 weeks ago. His mother had told him to wear his cross, so people like this would know heās a Christian. Like this idiot would notice or care. I was looking at the pictures, and thinking fondly of how cute my daughter and her boyfriend looked together, and how crazy about each other they looked, when I noticed the little cross around his neck. I felt heartsick that a soon-to-be member of my family felt the need to put on a talisman for his safety when visiting my home. Absolutely heartsick. Love didnāt lose here, but it didnāt win either.
