I used to pop open a bottle with each state. If I did that now, I’d be shitfaced all during the work week. Think I’ll wait until the last state to celebrate.

Mississippi took 150 years to ratify the 13th Amendment and outlaw slavery. My money is on them.

Not a surprise – as the article points out, North Carolina is in the Fourth Circuit, and the judge was bound by the Appeals Court ruling in the Virginia case.

They are in an Anchorage courtroom right now. Alaska is next.
Edit: Hearing in Alaska concluded, plaintiffs asking for summary judgment. Alaska AG could only pull out “but the voters decided” BS. Summary judgment expected as early as Monday.

Ninth Circuit just dismissed the appeal from “Hawaii Family Forum.” Remanded the case back to the trial court in Honolulu with orders for the trial court to dismiss as moot. “Bans on Gay Marriage Unconstitutional”

I live in Utah. By choice. Been here for 25 years. It’s a beautiful state, with lots of national parks and decent access to Nevada when I need a dose of decadence. It’s a nice place to live, and with good skiing and a famous film festival, plenty of people come here to visit, which is more than I can say about Mississippi.
Utah is nice; it’s Utahns I’m not that crazy about.

I agree, Utah is beautiful. From the comments I read in the SL Trib, and from your posts here, not all Utahns are bad. Same here in Texas - we have small clusters of lucidity in a sea of dumbfucks.
