Discussion: Joni Ernst's Greatest Hits

Discussion for article #230008

Americans deserve every dollar of the horror we’ve brought upon ourselves allowing lunatics to have political power.

It takes village idiots to elect the most idiotic among them…

This mind sick puppet Ernst is the embodiment of so much that’s wrong with our political structure. She’s bought and paid for by the Koch Bros and the NRA and she’s a clueless know nothing and therefore is potentially a dangerous political operative with allegiance only to her corporate owners.

It appears that Gawwd’ has closed the BSC Michele Bachmann door only to open the BSC Joni Ernst window (*BTW, her husband “Gail” ~snort!~ does make up for the loss of Marcus…just a bit!) …or the Big Skygod just got drunk, has a weird sense of humor and, in replacing our comedy gold Bachmann with Ernst, doesn’t really give a shit.

(Q) You know how Joni Ernst castrates a hog?

(A) She gives Ted Cruz an uppercut.

Bagger Dream Team: Cruz / Ernst 2016 ~please!~

(*My wife suggests Christie / Ernst 2016: “Sit Down and Shut up or We’ll Cut Your Balls Off!”)

From an old Tom Waits tune (Heartattack and Vine)

Don’t you know there ain’t no devil, there’s just god when he’s drunk…

And god put on a mighty bender this election season for sure…

Except me, OK? I voted against them.

I was going to say because Minnesota beat the national average on voter turnout with 51.3 percent, we elected mostly Democrats. Then I noticed Maine, Wisconsin, and Colorado all had better turnout, and look who they elected. Iowa had 50.6 percent turnout and still elected a nut case. This past election cycle had the worst national average voter turnout since 1942. Only 36 percent voted. Looking at the results, as many have opined, it was because of cowardly Democrats afraid of running as Democrats. Not voter turnout. Al Franken and Gov. Dayton run as shameless Democrats, and won. Unfortunately, Minnesota Democrats lost control of the House, but still control the other two branches.

It won’t be long before she goes into full tea party attack mode. She can’t resist the “dark force”.

The Michelle Bachmann of the Senate, with Ted Cruz as the Louie Gohmert of the Senate.

That’s the problem, democrats used a “running scared” strategy and the results prove it. The only positive is that the GOP will have to do more than “just talk to their base” to make the voters fill better.

What is wrong with our political structure is that most people did not vote. If Obama and Reid did anything meaningful to get people to vote, it escaped my attention. That notwithstanding, the only motivation people should have to vote is that it is their responsibility to do so. People who do not vote (absent the direst of emergencies— and I live in a state where that is the only way you can cast an absentee ballot) have only themselves to blame when the entire country becomes like Ferguson MO. There is no freaking excuse.

well, she will be a big help in moving the country forward after her cell phone rings and she is told how to vote.
she is in way way over her head and doesn’t realize her and the nutbag group futures are limited.
notice: even drunk moose killer barbie won’t get near it for obvious reasons. she doesn’t want to lose her family jewels. lol

Shouldn’t there be some requirements for holding office… like some certification process… and psychological screening process… and even a lie detector test. Yeah! That’s it. Have all candidates attached to a lie detector during campaigns. And discontinue ALL polls. They only serve to make people complacent about their responsibility as voting citizens. Actually hoping that Joni has her foot deep in her mouth when she shoots it.

The Corporate Controlled Conservative Propaganda machine lied any lie to get her into the Senate. Just look at how Luke Russert still slobbers all over the ground she walks on.

Why are we still talking about her? We knew she was somewhat nuts, an asshole to boot, a dimwit, a liar, and probably a few other “qualities” that stand her in good stead in the group of treasonous bastards known as The Modern Republican Party. Has any of that changed in the last week, other than she is now called “Senator-Elect”?

Look, if the Rethugs were swallowed up by the world’s largest sinkhole, tomorrow, the world would be a better place, but it’s not likely to happen, and harping on Ernst STILL being a prime example of the GOTP does not add value to anything. I mean, might as well do a post titled “Republicans STILL Suck, and They’re STILL Trying to Destroy Obama and the Country,” and let everyone here have a field day.

Or was this post the philosophical equivalent of a CNN-like item such as “Lindsey Lohan Raises Eyebrows with Latest Bad Behavior” or some such? Don’t you guys (i.e., Strauss et al.) have anything better to do?

I’m sure that even a cursory glance through Ernst’s history will provide far more than seven examples of her wingnuttery.

She’s stupid and she’s proud of it.

Chapter One of the future book entitled “The Decline and Fall of the United States,” whose chapter title will be “The Degeneration of the Press,” will, in addition to an extensive discussion of the 2000 election, talk about the remarkable period when Joni Ernst was lionized by the mainstream media organizations as a bright new shining star in the firmament of American politics at the same time that Elizabeth Warren was deemed a fringe adherent to kooky ideas and treated with, at best, condescension.
