I’d say she doesn’t want to do anything to convince moderates that may be on the fence about her she’s certifiable. She knows she has the deep conservative vote, they relish her every inane statement. She knows that if she’s asked difficult questions, and isn’t allowed to hedge she’ll ruin her campaign.

How DO Republicans manage to find their candidates? I am curious, has she ever conducted a thought experiment to extrapolate the outcome of ‘using her gun’ to ‘enforce’ constitutionality, I guess, against various agents of the Federal Government? So, some poor guys got a job workin for the gov’t, and she disagrees with some policy or other, and she is going to shoot the worker? Take away all he has, and everything he is ever going to have? And somehow, this behavior PROTECTS the constitution? How come–you and I can see she is a dangerous trash talking lunatic–but other people will vote for her? Are these voters the trash talking dangerous lunatic demographic? Why do other Republicans that aspire to leadership not condemn her remarks and distance themselves? Does their silence imply tacit approval of her stance? Does this not make the entire Republican party a criminal class? What am I missing here?
