Discussion: Joni Ernst Reportedly Cancelled Meetings With Major Iowa Editorial Boards

Like most RWNJ’s the only place they will appear on a regular basis is the Fox News Channel.

That Ernst is leading in this race says a great deal about Democrats. They simply refuse to tell voters that Republicans don’t give a crap out them, whether they have a job, a decent place to live, clean water, or are assured a decent retirement. The GOP wants to privatize Medicare and destroy it, wants to turn Social Security over to Wall Street, wants to devote billions to weapons and war, but not one nickel to the infrastructure of this country. Obama is not saying any of this and neither are any other Democrats. They can hold the Senate and ultimately win the House with this message, but all they seem interested in is gay marriage. Very strange.

Unfortunately, this won’t cost her any votes. The rabid right loves this. It will make them only vote for her more.

She’s afraid of people with a clue so she avoids them at all costs. But she can hang around with the tea baggers with no problem.

I look forward to the right skewering her over this. Just like they did over Kay Hagan saying several months ago that she would not participate in a fourth debate Time Warner Cable News recently. CNN said “Hagan absent, Tillis faces off against empty chair,” and quipped “This is not your Clint Eastwood empty chair moment from the 2012 Republican National Convention – but it’s close.” The article highlighted GOP criticism of Hagan’s decision, but did note that she “had already declined.”

Is THIS the liberal media?

The Iowa Senate campaign has reached the phase where reporters are reduced to shouting “what about your gaffes?” while being ignored by the candidate.

That’s funny, because I’ve heard it over and over and over again in the KY Senate race. I’ve also heard Obama and several other Democrats make the same case. Throughout 2012, many ran against Paul Ryan’s budget and desire to privatize Medicare and Obama has spoken extensively about the need to repair bridges and infrastructure.

The self-righteous hate - and will not tolerate - scrutiny. They cannot abide their own faults being exposed to others, but more importantly, themselves.

Now TPM wants to take someone to task for refusing to sit with an editorial board. What got lost in the kerfuffle over who Grimes voted for was that she actually showed up and sat down with largest newspaper in KY and gave an interview. The 30 year incumbent backed out. That got absolutely no coverage because ReaLiberals were too busy ripping apart the Democrat and performing purity tests.

This is what wise handlers advise when the strategy for holding onto her slim lead in the closing days is to “contain the crazy”.

She can’t be contained.

The fact that she dodged them will allow them to go a little wild on her now.

She’ll regret this.

Yep - that’s the new talking point they’re all using. It’s complete bullshit.

Exactly. She was afraid they would see what a fool she is.

Now instead, they will flog her for being afraid of what the public might learn.

Joni forgot the old adage: “Never pick a fight with people who buy ink by the barrel.”

Those fuckholes at the Ragister endorsed Romney. This won’t prevent those gutless fucks from endorsing this crazy wannabe cop killer.
