Discussion: Jon Stewart Ridicules 'Dallas Dipsh*ts' Fearing 'Texas Takeover' (VIDEO)

Discussion for article #235988

George W. Bush, Rick Perry, and this dumbass.

It’s like Texas breeds their governors in a lab and selects for stupidity.

Well, you can be proud, red state Republicans. The ignorant, paranoid, credulous, pants-peeingly fearful loonies are such a large part of your base now that it takes an Atticus-Finch-level degree of moral courage and political sacrifice to tell them SHUT UP YOU ARE IDIOTS. Volvo-driving soccer moms in Connecticut are shaking their heads and saying “Wow, those people are silly and wimpish.” You’re not really projecting the image of the stalwart Texans of song and story any more; your public image is more down toward the pathetic end of the continuum. Very, very proud you must be.

The beautiful thing about this piece is that it leads with the obnoxious Anti-Islam event that says US military might over Islamic states is a good and important thing …then ends with the crazy Jade Helm conspiracy that says the US military might is a bad and scary thing…Texas, the land of cognitive dissonance.

I’ll say this for Jon Stewart, the man is a master at stringing along and piecing together parts that lead to the greater message of a story. He did a great job here.

Texans should be hanging their heads in shame here. The saner ones–and there are many–should shout down those loons.

It’s equally possible that the reason Dictator Obomber is plotting a military takeover of Texas is that he’s trading it to Cuba for a box of cigars as part of the new Commie Coalition he’s forming with the Castro Brothers (the Cubans not the Texans).

I was born in Texas…but escaped. However, I know a lot of really good people still trapped there.

The Texas State Guard is a state defense force that assists and augments Texas military and civil authorities in times of state emergencies, and in on-going support of National Guard units and local communities. “THEY ARE NOT PART OF UNITED STATES ARMED FORCES.”

They are equivalent to the fighting force of a girl scout troop!

Don’t worry folks, with Chuck Norris raising the cry you can be sure that Walker Texas Ranger will come out of his nursing home to protect Texas from this Obummer threat.

Of course Obama wants to take over Texas militarily! Because…
… well, because …
There’s absolutely no upside, is there? You spend a massive fortune to “take over” an area you already control. It would mean decades of civil war. There’s no threat from the state. It would be political suicide, not just for Obama but the entire Democratic party!

But we all know there’s three words that strike fear into Obama’s heart. Three words that keep the US Army at bay:

Walker, Texas Ranger!

There are only 28 COUNTRIES in the world with a bigger human population than Texas. At almost 28 millions, we’d think Texas would be capable of producing at least a few gifted statesmen. But,apparently not. Apparently, the best Texas can do is fubow players and yell leaders.

Maybe there’s something about that size: 28 million. Maybe at that size, the stupid is extra strong. The next country up in most people is Uzbekistan. That’s a pretty backward place, where the biggest achievement appears to lie in the ability to whack a severed goatshead around while riding a camel; and the U.N. has characterized Uzbekistan as “an authoritarian state with limited civil rights [showing] wide-spread violation of basic human rights”. If one goes thru the lists and descriptions of horribles that Uzbekistan visits on its own population and others, they sure don’t seem any stupider than Texasm especially when one considers that they’ll pretty much all generally ‘justified’ on the basis of the governing regimes constant preoccupation with fictitious ‘enemies’ said always to be on the verge and threatening to invade.

Is Texas in the Uzbekistan of the U,S.?

Met an attorney here in Alaska last summer who worked with Abbot in the Texas Attorney Generals office. Asked him if Abbott was as crazy as he acted and sounded in real life and the guy replied that no in fact the craziness was all an act to appease the wing nuts he depended on for votes. Looks like my new acquaintance might not be such a good judge of character or he himself was bitten by the crazy bug and can no longer recognize insanity when everyone surrounding him acts the same way.

I don’t think Texans, or at least the ones responsible for this bruhaha, care what Europeans think of them. In fact, they probably consider it a badge of honor that Europeans laugh at them.
