You’re dead on the money, sir!
It helps to remember that Conservatives have always been Irony Impaired.

There’s a camera in the microwave donny uses to heat up his Hot Pockets.

When I heard him on NPR, he was talking like a lunatic on hate radio. I thought he was one of those low level trumpists until they mentioned his name. I used think senators were dignified.
How recklessly irresponsible of this clown to put this out there. It might just have been something he read on the shithouse wall.
Yep, that’s the column. Dana and Jennifer and a bunch of others arrive in my inbox each a.m. All are eminently quotable.
If I see Sykes once more on cable talking with that more in sorrow than in anger vibe he’s perfected I’m gonna expectorate too.
You’re right that momentum was stopped dead in its tracks and we can trace it to to Comey’s remarks which began with an explanation (not necessary) about Huma Abedin’s computer, then Weiner, then onto the real prey. As crazy as we are just watching the aftermath it’s worse to imagine what Mrs. Clinton must have been going through. All polls were off because all predicted she’d win easily.
Given the sincerity and degree of his conversion, I will take Charlie Sykes, even forgive him for what was probably 30 years of typical right wing talk radio before he started appearing on MSNBC. I’ll even tolerate his more in sorrow than anger vibe. Now, the sonofabitch I cannot stand is Hugh Hewitt. He was an unctuous Reagan cheerleader and I hate it when the WaPo runs one of his or David Bossie’s propaganda op eds.
Milbank is their default humor guy now that Garrison Keillor done gone up in flames. I tried to find it recently and couldnt but Milbank wrote a hysterically funny column right after Trump and Sean Spicer claimed that the Trump Inaugural crowd was the biggest ever, period. This one about the Illuminati and the Carbonari was almost as good. And I have developed a late life crush on Jennifer Rubin. It feels like when I was 5 and Annette Funicello would be on The Mouseketeers, or when my older sister took me along to see Beach Blanket Bingo (I was 7 or 8 by then). Forgive me if that is creepy. I probably would have hated her if I had read the Post during most of the Obama Administration.
Breaking news. POS tried to fire Mueller. Obstruction of justice, there it is.
He is a sleazy sleazy operator. This is how he ran his businesses. I am glad this is coming out. Thanks.
Charlie Sykes and his croc tears could easily be replaced, assuming he’s still alive and well, by John Nichols.
I don’t think Mueller is the kind of man who’s inclined to get angry at the people he’s after, but if he were, PP is the best object to aim some at.
Was that the guy at The Nation? Before the Internet was the locus of all journalism, he wrote a hysterically funny column after attending the Lorena Bobbitt criminal trial. It was titled Penis Ennui.
Yes, he was at the Nation.
Sorta OT but you’ll see. There is a famous and lovely restaurant here Chez Panisse founded and run by Alice Walters. One of her acolytes who was briefly a star but is no longer was Jeremiah Tower. His endeavors never were as successful as hers, and it was said he had Panisse Envy.
Wow. Just wow.
It’s all I can do to not to link to every column of Rubin’s that I get. She’s a self described rightie, but she’s been onto to PP for a long time. The other converted rightie you might want to pay attention to is Nicolle Wallace who was tasked with turning the stupidest candidate in the world, Plain, into a viable one. She became a Clinton supporter after all those years spent working for various Rs including bushes and McCain.
Maybe Haberman will get some respect after so long trashing her. Schmidt always get it.
Mueller impresses me as the sort of person who doesn’t take insults personally. This is white noise that just allows him to focus on what’s right in front of him. I suspect it just makes him more determined to get to the bottom of his investigation and he would never skew the results one way or the other. He cannot be deterred.
Of course Tramp wants to get rid of him - how dare someone investigate him, the Great and Powerful Oz?
It’s amazing just how obvious his consciousness of guilt is and that it’s on full display on a daily basis. I hate the man - that’s not secret to anyone who has read my comments - but I honestly don’t think I’ve ever encountered a worse businessperson or worse negotiator or worse leader in my life. And, as a management consultant who has worked with C-level execs in dozens of companies over the years, that’s saying a lot.
The midterms are just over 9 months away.
