Discussion for article #239257
And once again, Republicans show how they don’t know a thing about science.
Kasich knows so little about science, he can’t even bring himself to say that climate change is no longer a theory to him but a hypothesis
LOOk. AT LEast REPUblicans, UNLIKE LIBtards, adMIT THE ONLY scIENCE tHEY knoW for SURE is WHEN LIFe beGINS. wHICH IS at concEPTION.
Man, fuck this guy…
So obviously, from his previous comments, Kasich knows that the scientists have confirmed that Climate Change is real and man made, but knows that saying so will end his presidential run. This perfectly illustrates the dire condition of the right wing in this country. Voicing agreement with provable facts is a fatal self-inflicted wound in GOP land.
the claim that regulation equal job loss is total shit and someone needs to call um on this before voters believe it. Something like its not governments part to deregulate businesses at the cost to health of millions of people. Government is OURS not businesses. If US businesses cant curb emissions and be profitable like the rest of the world then were in more trouble than we know.
Republican candidates have a major problem. They have to present themselves as idiots or they stand no chance to win the nomination. Kasich is just keeping his slim chance going by mouthing the nonsense that the rube voters believe. Of course, their other major problem is that they can’t possibly win without the cash donations from the oligarchs, and those oligarchs want nothing to be allowed to interfere with their efforts to hoard as much money as is humanly possible. If steps are taken to counter climate change, one of their cash cows will be neutered, so that also requires that the candidates claim total ignorance and disbelief about science. It is a hard world for Republicans.
Remember: he’s the “adult” one anointed by the establishment media after the debate last week.
From the very beginning of our nation the government has been almost entirely about helping the wealthy businessmen. Remember, the founders didn’t even want the commoners to be able to vote, and the few they allowed to vote had to be white, male, and land owners. Nothing in the Constitution was intended to be of value to commoners, just to the wealthy businessmen. That it also aids us, is just serendipity.
why do all these excuses about climate change sound the same as Big Tobacco’s argument about the connection between lung cancer and smoking 40+ years ago…
if someone didn’t smoke a cigarette and immediately develop lung cancer then there couldn’t possibly be a connection…
now… not being able to understand the difference between weather and climate means they connection can’t be made… LOOK!! a snowball… no global warming… theory is unproven…
Something else that is not “proven” but seems quite obvious is how the slate of GOP clowns are on the payroll of big oil.
Trying to shake that RINO image.
Just when you think someone in that group has a collection of brain cells…ooops…back to nebulous nonsense and invocation of “the lord”…on an obviously scientific issue.Kick the can long enough aand something definartive will emerge that can;t be denied and likely will be beyond remedy by then…
Kasich : "To assume I’m bought and paid for is just ’ some theory that’s not proven’ " —
And some people were calling this cat the reasonable one…
All the massive storms, droughts, melting of the polar ice caps is because God’s mad at the liberals…
A lot of Republicans in California have decided liberals are to blame for the severe drought. As it happens, the Majority Leader in the US House of Representatives is a Californian. He’s got a bill going to free up money to build more dams and reservoirs in his state. Since the problem is lack of rain and snow, it’s hard to fathom how this is going to help, but FSM forbid he consult a scientist.
I assume Kasich interrupted his previously scheduled Clean Coal unicorn hunt to appear on MTP.
He could only hold his breath so long.
