Discussion: John Kasich Calls Climate Change 'Some Theory That's Not Proven'

“My goodness, I am a lying Koch whore, er, Republican…”

I’ve heard people interviewed who claim that Kasich is the reasonable Republican candidate with real integrity who could earn Democratic votes in 2016. WAKE UP. He knows John Huntsman got nowhere being “reasonable” and is willing to sell himself out to pander to right-wingers in the primaries. This is just one example of that.

Like most republicans, Kasich would prefer to use proven theories to destroy jobs.

If you want Koch money, you dance to the Koch tune

“The Creation that the Lord has given to us” - what a wanker. It’s like Daddy gave us a toy. And we shouldn’t break the toy. But if we do, Daddy will surely fix it.

This man is a disgrace before God. Our duty to Nature is not because it was a gift from God. It’s because our own lives are a gift from Nature. If he’s going to bring his religion into politics, we have a political duty to point out this his religion is false. To the degree it excuses looking away from our responsibility to Nature, his religion is even evil.

Those scientists who say that Climate Change is not caused by humans are the same ones who say that the Population Explosion is not caused by humans…

number 1 ability required for elected office. panderability. kasich is just facing political reality if not environmental reality. SAD.

Since the late 1850’s the Cuyahoga River in Cleveland has caught fire 13 times:

But of course there’s no such thing as human caused pollution. Right Governor?

Here’s another tid bit for all the climate change deniers out there:

Note: the industrial revolution began about 1850. Compare the temperature increase since then. You don’t need to be a scientist to understand a graph.

I really hate it when people are willfully and deliberately stupid. Kasich knows what he said is bullshit yet he says it anyway. Just for votes. Does it need to be any more transparent that he doesn’t care about the welfare of Ohio residents or of the country should he get elected?

“I respect the creation that the Lord has given us and I want to make sure we protect it.” Kasich continued, “We need to protect it for the gas and coal industry, especially the Koch brothers, because; hey, I know who writes my paychecks.”

Facts? We don’t need no stinkin’ facts. Facts is liberal!!!one23!!!

Exactly. The only unproven theory here is the idea that clean energy will “destroy people’s jobs.”

Well, there goes the notion that Kasich was the only reasonable Republican candidate.

Governor, the explanation for gravity is a theory as well. Eminent men have tried to explain it. Their theories are not yet completely proven but they are the best explanations we have to date. 'Even though our understanding of the phenomenon of attraction between bodies with mass is incomplete I would not think it practical for you to test it by denying it and stepping out a 7th story window to prove your point. Believe it or not you will still accelerate toward the ground at 32 ft/sec/sec.

…Regardless of overwhelming evidence…

In fact, when GOP’ers complain that regulation is costly, it is precisely because those regulated must hire MORE WORKERS to accomplish the remediation, paperwork, etc.

Republican economic policy is full of “theory that’s not proven”. What’s your take on that, Governor? Please proceed.

The phrase “some theory that’s not proven” contains terms that are mutually exclusive.

I’ve often found that conservative political consultants advance unproven theories about their candidate’s need to distance themselves from climate change science.
