Discussion: JoeScar Locks Horns With Trump Over Third Party Waffling: This Is ‘Politics!’

Discussion for article #246806

“So, I signed a letter with the RNC and I said I want to do this as a Republican, the pledge, as they call it, but I’m not being treated the right way,” he said. “I brought in millions and millions of people to the Republican party and they’re going to throw those people away.”

Trump is a big baby. He cn do and say whatever he wants but the minute anyone goes after him, he whines. This is going to be such fun. We are going to wipe them out in November. The repubican party is committing suicide whether he is their nominee or not and if they try to install someone in his place, they are even worse off. Popcorn futures.

They didn’t even exist because they were Democrats and independents.”

And I was wondering why I felt so dissociated…turns out, I don’t exist.

I’d like to believe once the general election is underway an onslaught of ads from Democrats and independent PACs supporting Hillary will get so under Trump’s skin he’ll have a titanic meltdown. However, there is this inexplicable aversion to call out Trump on his most outlandish lies, failures and moral transgressions. You could construct a series of 30 second spots consisting of nothing but fragments of his bullshit that would embarrass and outrage even marginally sentient people. I don’t trust his opposition to go for the throat, despite the fact he’s thrown back his head, lowered his collar and said “Go ahead, clamp my jugular in your jaws, I dare you!!” The establishment on the Left, Right and Center wilts in his presence.

Most incompetent Politicians lead with their chin.
Trump leads with his nuts, yet nobody has landed a solid shot at him yet.
That will END when the general election starts. The Democrats don’t even HAVE to do any research on him. Just run clips of his rants from the primary, followed by: “Do you really want THIS GUY as the leader of the free world?”

He does have a legit gripe with the GOP establishment in this feud though. Prince Reibus wanted the security of knowing he wouldn’t run 3rd party and insisted he sign a pledge of fealty with the deal being that Trump expected to be treated ‘fairly’ in return.

As wide a berth you could give to what each took ‘fairly’ to mean, having half the party now united and guns blazing trying to take him down couldn’t possibly be what either had in mind.

perpetual victim, Donnie Dimwit, starts practicing excuses early during primary season…

the Republican Party doesn’t respect me…

the Party never supported me…

the Republican Party is full of losers that can’t deal with a winner like me…

all of the down ticket candidates were losers and kept voters away so no one voted for me…

my 3rd party run didn’t get any Republican support…

I wish I could be as confident as you, Chammy, but ultimately, I think the Republican voters will fall into line, even behind Trump. They would have no other place to go and they’re too frightened of change and too angry to stay home . And almost 50% of us Ameticans will vote for him.

I’m still having trouble wrapping my head around why we/TPM have such a fascination with every brain-queef that scoots out of this mewling, intern-murdering pissant’s turd chewing piehole. I just don’t get it. And that blonde mannequin he keeps around is just creepy.

Joe Scarborough appears to be totally unaware that Mitch McConnell has been asking Fox News, the Koch brothers and other senators to run attack ads against Donald Trump.

““But, Donald, you’re missing the point!” Not the only one. Here’s a few more “POINTS”.

“We the undersigned, members of the Republican national security community, represent a broad spectrum of opinion on America’s role in the world and what is necessary to keep us safe and prosperous. We have disagreed with one another on many issues, including the Iraq war and intervention in Syria. But we are united in our opposition to a Donald Trump presidency. Recognizing as we do, the conditions in American politics that have contributed to his popularity, we nonetheless are obligated to state our core objections clearly:”

At the end of the day, if you look back on the history of Trump one finds he is FAR MORE liberal than he is conservative…One has to wonder if he isnt just pulling the wool over the eyes of the stupid that now make up 60% of what’s left of the gop.

I disagree. The establishment on the left has every reason NOT to engage Trump right now and little reason to engage him. Why waste the money and effort when the other side is doing it for them? The time to go after Trump is the moment he clinches the nomination and tries to unite the party, to bigfoot his moment in the sun and never let off the gas from there.
