Is anyone surprised. One consistent refrain I’ve heard from the Right is “let’s nuke Iran!”

This is not surprising. Trump would find the allure of nuclear weapons—the strongest, biggest, best weapons----irresistible.
He already talked about the hypothetical use of nuclear weapons against ISIS, which should be disqualifying. It’s one thing to affirm that the US reserves the right to respond with nuclear weapons against a nuclear attack, but to say that a small group of terrorists without nuclear weapons might be subject to a first strike is completely out of all bounds.

… I should add that there is no doubt that a direct question to Trump will confirm his willingness to use nukes.

Dubya: I also wondered why I didnt use it. It would have been quick. I thought Cheney was smart.

“I have to follow up with that, but I’ll be very careful here. Several months ago, a foreign policy expert on the international level went to advise Donald Trump,

who???

and three times he asked about the use of nuclear weapons. Three times he asked, at one point, ‘If we have them, why can’t we use them?” Scarborough said.

I’d love to know what were the two answers that the expert gave to him.

Secondhand smears from an anonymous source couldn’t happen to a more deserving character.

“Several months ago” Joe and Mika were all buddy-buddy with Trump and were unapologetically showing favoritism for his campaign. Just saying.

Well, this is a bit of a quandry.

On the one hand, I can totally see Trump doing this. But on the other hand its completely anonymous sourcing by…Joe Scarborough.

Joe is going to have to name names if he wants this to grow legs. His credibility just isn’t anywhere near enough to be given a pass.

But…it is Trump again.

Color me perplexed.

So it was really Joe Scar who used nuclear weapons.

I wonder how long it will be before the paragon of tactfulness Donald Trump starts shouting out and Twittering the words “DEAD INTERN!”?

Not surprising but blood-chilling just the same. MAD doesn’t function properly when a madman has The Football.

See, a formal, sane person would know better than to even pose the question once.

My god. How did we get here???

Twice now, once at a barber shop and once out walking my dog, older white guys I don’t know have said out loud to a group of people: “I think Trump has some good ideas.”

Trump’s next good idea will be his first.

If Trump demands the launch codes he should just be told they’re still packed away in a box somewhere in the basement and someone will get back to him next week.

Oh, yes. The knives are definitely out.

I am sure the residents of Israel would gladly inhale the nuclear fallout if Trump dropped a few nukes on Isis in the Middle East. It’s not like the fallout would drift across any borders or anything like that, heaven forbid!
Besides, after the attack, all the residents of the Middle East would be sporting a healthy orange glow - just like Donald!
