Discussion: Jeff Sessions Will Chair Senate Panel On Immigration

Discussion for article #232413

Having Sessions hold that chair is rather like having David Duke as head of the NAACP.

Wonder if anyt TeaPub voters have been offended by

“The Promise Them Anything” camapign strategery?

“Horrible miserable excuse for human being who is worst possible person in world to chair Senate committee will chair Senate committee.” And so it goes and will continue to go for each and every standing committee of the Senate in the latest Congress that Democratic midterm apathy has given us.

Record immigration? First page in the G.O.P. songbook: “Start by assuming a fact that’s actually dead wrong. Base your policy proposals on it.”

Not to mention that James Inhofe R-OK is going to once again chair the environmental committee, the man who is the number one climate change denier in the world. But hey, he also has a list, 4000 people, “It’s all on my website” of various whackjobs who assert that man is not responsible for global warming. There will be no Barbara Boxer to shut him down.

When will we have had enough of the republican’t scandal merchants.

Any time a fact is presented they can say “That’s what you say…” just like the new Senator Ernst.

Give the repubs(small R) all the rope they need.

The only people who will testify that our failure to deport families is actually hurting them will be people who already have decided to blame immigrants for their own failures.

The Americans hurt worst by our immigration policy are those who have lived here for years, raised their kids here, and must work for less than minimum wage because the state has decided they are not worth protecting.

Let’s be very clear: There is no economic, cultural, or security issue with immigration. If we opened our doors to the world, with no quotas on immigration at all, it would be very good for our economy. It would be good for our culture. By allowing us to patrol the border more closely for criminals and contraband, it would be good for our security.

The justification for passing the Chinese Exclusion Act, and every single immigration act after, is racism and xenophobia.
