What a sleazy and unprincipled move.

Consistent and principled huh? Like Jeb’s! endorsement for the guy that wants to police Muslim neighborhoods…From one vulgarian to another. Eh, what’s the difference, right Jeb!? No wonder no one could stand him.

Yes. Ted Cruz is just the healer who can unite the Republican Party! Given that Jeb was under 10% for the last months of his campaign, why would Sen. Cruz even want his endorsement?

To put this in perspective, Jeb also endorsed his brother.

To put this in perspective, Jeb Bush is, after all, a Republican.

Remember a couple of months ago when nobody cared what JEB! had to say as an active candidate ('Please clap"). Nothing has changed.

I see you lost your avatar too. Any clue what’s going on here with that yet?

No, and the " icon in the tool bar up above messes up the formatting, and I didn’t receive a notification of your reply either. Oh, well. Here’s hoping they fix the glitches. At least the double posting seems to be over.

Now your journey to the dark side is complete.

In case anyone cares what I say, this Ted guy seems to be good at getting lots of votes with all that stuff that’s mostly the opposite of all the stuff I was always saying, so vote for him because he’s not Trump, he’s more of a regular Republican neo-fascist.

(I’m pretty sure I used to get an avatar thingy over on the left also. On the other hand, I didn’t get the Too Much Like Your Previous Comment thing for no reason this time.)

"Ted is a consistent, principled conservative"

Meaning, I suppose, that he is a consummate asshole, but one whose wife is known to keep her clothes on in public.

However, re Bush’s endorsement, he can really pick them…watching gop implode is SO much fun!

The stupid endorsing the lame-brained. If any one of these jack-o-napes think they are going to beat Donald Dump, they are in for a shock. My, my, how the mighty have fallen.
Personally, I ought to enjoying the spectacle of America getting to lie in the bed she has made for herself…
But there is still deep inside me that tiniest kernel of caring for the American people. That prevents me from feeling any form of elation. I feel most deeply for those who are powerless, and voiceless, and what will become of them if people like Ted Crazy or Donald Dump are elected to the Oval Office.
Make no mistake about it, America. There is every chance, as stark as it is that Trump and Cruz or some combination thereof, can win a general election. Particularly in the face of spineless democrats.
What is truly horrific is that there is NO political opposition which can boast any level of effectiveness against these two Grumpy Old Party Nightmares. The price of this abdication of civic duty and honor, will be borne by those least able to pay for it, at a cost beyond common imagination. But democrats have sold themselves the snake oil that electing one candidate to one office only is the cure all for monsters like Dump and Crazy…
The fact that these two have risen is in part due to the fact that there has been, and still is no chorus of voices raised to stand against the noise machine which these two GOP Goons are now cresting.
I take no joy in saying that America has made both of these Monsters, and is therefore deserving of them.
But what else can I say? It is what historians will be forced to say in a future not so very distant from this day.
Naturally, there will be no one under the age of 20 reading above a third grade level when it is written.
I can retreat at any time, into memories of so long ago that I will find only one person in 100 who remembers them along with me as a contemporary. But it is because my contemporaries still live, and must live on that I find myself unable to draw back, or slink away to be accepted as one of the Great American Flock.
I must speak the truth as I see it, because it is the only weapon left to me to defend what is left of my generation. I take no joy in what I must do, but I am steeled to the fight as much by people as by memories past of days far better than these. Days the like of which America will never see again if the National Nightmare comes to fruition under the banners which men like these of the Grumpy Old Party now represent.

Cruz just pinned a “Kick Me, Donald!” sign onto his ass.
